i went to the car show yesterday. i thought maybe we'd do the new m45, but after thinking about it...i think a revision of the new mustang would be a funner endeavor.

basically, just draw the car with any asthetic improvements that you feel it needs.

contest ends april 1st. (lol.)

just add big wheels and a body kit???

Pttth, I will laugh at anyone who does.

I think Omnis meant how would you visualize this Mustang? If you were a Ford designer, how would you design the new Mustang?

yeah....draw the mustang, but change the design to your liking. for instance: i'm not a fan of the tail lights, so i'll be changing those. etc.

Alright. Tell me what you think of this prelim sketch. Do you like it or should I change it? I really didn't want to deviate too much from the original because I like the way it looks.

COCONUT MONKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry.. duno where that came from.

i think i've got to smooth out the front end. it just looks way too blocky to me right now.
what do you guys think?

quarter view looks amazing. honestly.

however, in the side view the front needs lengthening...badly.

roger that. i'll have some progress posted up later. right now im trying to stay on the track in S16.. DAMNED unexpected turns!

Just post your own drawings topic in Photography & Graphics thats what I did with my drawings.

Hey. If I don't make the deadline with a finished piece DO NOT use that sketch I posted. It's not worth it and I don't think it's that great.

I HAVE A LAST MINUTE ENTRY!!!

i also have the progression of designs....only the LAST sketch is my final entry.

I was at a total loss of what to do with this one at first, so I basically worked off the remake and the original...I started with this....

I liked some aspects of it, but not nearly many. It worked into this, which I now hate.

I decided, 'why not base it off the 1971 styling?' Which proved that all I was doing was either drawing a classic Mustang or the remake-nothing original.

I was so sick of those drawings, that I just let my hand flow freely around the paper to see what would happen. Still nothing. But it gave me a little hint of inspiration....

Then I had a stroke of inspiration-a GREAT idea....I saw this picture http://www.tupeloautomuseum.com/images/shell/back_64mustang_1280x1024.jpg, and thought of how to reincorporate the cross grille and unusual rims....i sketched down a quick concept, without the rims at this point...

Then I sketched down an update-trying to do the rims. I realized that recreating the rims to fit the car, look good yet not tacky and be appealing was no easy task, as the sketch demonstrates...It did, however, set a framework for what I wanted my final entry to look like.

I finally sketched out this. My final entry and my baby. To me, everything is perfect, except the fact that with some rebadging it could be a Charger reincarnation. ;)

Here is, literally, the first thing that happened when I found a random ball-point and scrap paper. I can't put a lot of thought or effort into something I really have no motivation to design.

I didn't know the Tupelo Auto Museum had a website, I'll have to check it out. I've driven by the place many times, but never been in. Hmmm.

As far as the comp goes, I drew about 30% of the car, put it down and forgot about it. Oh well, I'm bound to catch a drawing comp at some point or another.

Would make a great Alfa with some rebadging and minor adjustments.

I enjoy designing Alfas. Especially that body style. Huge body, big bonnet. Just a fun to look at type of car. Huge possibilities on what to make it as well.

I'm motivated in drawing something like that. Another Mustang, mind you........
