General Information and Regulations

As with last season there will be three types of race event during the season. There will be 4 Standard rounds of 50mi and 5 Enduro rounds of 100mi and 1 Super-Enduro round of 150mi.

Week starts on Monday, with times to be sent via PM by 11.59pm GMT on Sunday

There is NO HP penalty for joining the series part way through the season.

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by GTPCTC sanctioning body, umm...me for now unless the GTMSA wants to pick me up :P. Any and all questions should be directed to GTPCTC officials (namely me..and anyone else who wants to help out) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manor.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by me for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

* Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
* No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
* Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts
* No wall-riding as well. Combined with penalties, this will slow you down considerably, so don't do it.
* All decisions by GTMSA officials are final
* The race track for this season will be defined as the area between the white or yellow lines. This means rumble strips do not count as track.

Qualifying

* Single hot lap in time trial (arcade) mode
* Weight penalty in effect
* SS tyres only
* ASM is prohibited TCS is optional
* Laps MUST be clean, no collisions no matter how small are acceptable
* Points: 3pts - 2pts - 1pt
* 20 second penalty added to race time if you don't submit a qualifying time
* Qualifying will be open for 1 week per round (i.e. Monday to Sunday)

Meh. I get to keep my weight penalty. :indiff:
This is a tricky track to get really right, as I recall there's no split times, so we're totally reliant on the ghost.
Oh well, see you at the line again, hope we can get a few more laptimes in this time. 👍

Sorry guys...I was camping last week and off to Vegas in 48 hours...won't have time to run this either....GL to all 👍

So can you do Vegas at 5 credits a day like in the game? :) Sorry, had to ask

I don't know when I'll get back into racing and such. I'm trying to work my way through the last 9% of GT4. That way I can say I've beaten it by the time GT5 comes out. :)

G'Day all,

Times submitted.
I also forgot you do not get split times during replays here :dunce:

All I can say is my GS time was faster than my ST time !

edit :
Have been busy producing and uploading videos, here are a few qualifying vids for your edification :

It is way past deadline, so should not matter posting current qualifying round replays now.
Enjoy, and as always feedback on video / sound quality would be appreciated.

Cheers !

Congrats to Viperin for finally getting some points on the board in GS. :) Not too many ST cars this time. Only two in fact.

I woulda qualified ST but I was like...aw...screw it. I had too much other stuff to do yesterday.

Nice laps PB & viperin 👍
PB is almost a second a lap quicker here, so I'm hoping the tyre-wear factor will level the field again.
In answer to his question from the Race 3 thread, yes, I'm using "Strong Tyre Wear" setting, but the Nissan, even fully weighted as I've run the last 2 qualifications and the previous race in, is pretty well balanced, and driven smoothly can make it's front tyres last well. Rear wear isn't really an issue, as the power is way down so wheelspin (thus increased wear) isn't a factor.
I guess it's an effect of being 150kg lighter than the Mustang, but also only having a lightweight V6 over my front wheels instead of the heavy V8 block that the 'Stang is lugging around. ;)

Yes, I agree. I've only driven the 350Z briefly in GT4, but I did notice it's one of those cars (like BMW M3s) which corners with extreme efficiency. But I just wanted to double-check about the strong tire-wear thingy.

Even though it's got an aluminum small block (the 'stang), it's still a nose-heavy car. I'm changing my front tires every pit stop, but only changing the rears (typically) every 2nd pit stop. The Nissan will therefore dominate most of the remaining races, although it might be close here at Fuji. Like I was saying, now that I get to let all 300 of those horses walk and talk more consistently, things might be different, although left-side tire wear is brutal at Fuji. :indiff:

Bewdy ! Your time penalty may help me get a few more points in the race :)

MM hm, a little present from me to you. Since my MINI still has +5% weight penalty, it may also even up the field during the actual race down those huge straight sections.
