GTPlanet App Notifications.

As of the last week or so I have been getting notification pop up on my iPod Touch way more times than it should do. Someone will comment on a thread and I will be notified on my iPod about 10 times, sometimes even more. I wasn't sure if you were in knowledge of this, but if not, I did this to notify you of it.

I have an iPod Touch, 2nd Generation, 4.2.1 OS.

Happening to me also. I'm using the iPad app with everything up to date.

I'm aware of the issue, but push notifications are handled by the app's Forum Runner platform, so unfortunately there's no way I can fix the problem myself. They have been updating their push notification infrastructure over the past few days which I believe is contributing to the problem.

This seems to be affecting all other forums which use their platform, so hopefully they'll be able to resolve it soon. For now I can only recommend temporarily disabling push notifications from the app.

Found a bug with the new update. The "Favorites" list in the Subscriptions tab is gone. I have removed and then added favorites and it's still gone.

As for Notifications, AVSForum has a similar issue, I think they disabled it though. I'm still only getting email notes from AVS.

May as well comment here. On the little icon for the app mine has 300+ in the little red bubble. Until I open and look at a few threads and it will go to 1, 2, 3 etc. But then when I get a notification it goes to 300+ again.

I don't recall the previous name of the tab, but "Favorite" forums are available under the "Forums" tab.

Yeah, the app badge icon and push notifications are still pretty unreliable. Just make sure you're running the latest version of the app, I don't have the issue you're experiencing.

Same. Sometimes it says 1,xxx+ and sometimes 4 or 5.
