Would it be possible to sign up as a reserve for both classes and just go with whatever class that needs the most drivers for that particular race? I want to give the Challenger a try, but I see you're lacking ST drivers (likely due to this random phobia of slow cars that this sub-forum has) and I like that Mini.

Yeah, for now I'll put you down for both... if interest increases, you'll have to choose one.

Yes, I am running a DS3. Another good thing is for me to practice the entry on Turn 1.

Amen, turn one is tricky! BTW, we'll see how everything goes with each car in the class, willing to performance balance.

Right on, I'll put you down for ST, just tell me which ride you want.

Remember guys, Roar before the Rolex 24 is tonight at 8:00pm Eastern Daylight Time (US). Use the World Times in my link to convert as needed. Tonight is a great opportunity to get test your car, get used to the guys you'll be racing with when the real thing starts next week, and for me to get an idea of where the performance of each of these cars is in the hands of new drivers. Just a note: Grand-Am has recently added 75lbs. to the Camaro, so I'll be thinking of doing the same. Also these cars, as I've said have very different performance capabilities and this is a showroom stock championship so cars will have advantages and disadvantages at each circuit.

Paul, we can be Team Mini, okay? ;)

i feel for you guys that is going to be a very fast team.... they will win almost all of the races one or the other should win every race, GOOD LUCK

I think a lot of people where having issues with the room.

I was surprisingly one of them.

my net fell off again when i had a huge lead not 🤬 happy :grumpy:

Bad luck to those who dropped off, great racing to everyone though. I think I spent the entire race STILL trying to learn my entry into corner one. Gonna need to fire up the black box and have some practice time this week for the one that counts. We'll see you next week where we go a little longer! (Hopefully we get more entries!)

Here is the results from the Roar Before the Rolex 24 Test Race:

1. RETROCRX - BMW M3
2. GTPOVERHEATING - BMW M3
3. GTDriveBoss - Ford Mustang GT
4. rejektedS15 - Nissan 370z
5. GTP_LancerEvo7 - Honda Civic
6. Jonerz99 - Mazda MX-5
7. buzzberd73 - Mini Cooper S
(My apologies for not noting who DNFed)

I'll be reviewing the race replay soon, and posting pictures probably Monday.

That really was a lot of fun. Can't wait till next time, when hopefully I can WIN! Mwahahahahaha!!!

Yeah, I imagine we'll have a couple get-togethers, not necessarily a huge field of us, but I have some work that I need to do and I know that a couple of the boys need to do the same.

Just wanted to let you know what a cool concept I think this is, and that I'm really impressed by the level of detail. I wish I could take part, but can't due to the fact I'm typically busy on Saturday evenings.

Perhaps put me down as a reserve if need be. Otherwise, best of luck with what looks set to be a great series.
