GTPlanet Japanese Grand Touring Championship Series

I'm prepping to launch the new series and I'm taking suggestions while I build it.

Please post up any suggestions you may have to prevent a fall out like the previous series.

Anything you can think of to make the series the best it can be.

I have to rebuild the car & track list, if anybody wants to post it up that would be appreciated.

We are going to Jump right into it with a short qualifying session to start the racing this week.

And also, be sure to take part in the Le Mans Series as well. Hopefully there won't be a fallout there as well. Good luck with this.

Id suggest asking for replays of each persons race and reviewing them. Although we could have everyone look at eachothers race and review it so one person doesnt have to review every single replay. And those who have the EU review EU versions of replays and US review US replays.

Its like you read my mind.

That's a 1000%, we will police ourselves.

I will definitely be joining, and I have a few suggestions and ideas.
1)Either do shorter races (10 laps or so), or as the fastest single lap. 20 laps was too many in my opinion.

2)I like the idea of uploading ghosts/replays. Instead of them being checked by anyone, which could lead to one being checked twenty times, and one not being looked at all, perhaps there could be a system in which the person who is last in the standing checks the person who is first, the person who is second from last checks second place, and so on. This way those who aren't as good can learn from those who are much better.

3)Maybe more emphasis on the qualifying times, as I think qualifying was more fun than the actual race.

^ I would, but I don't have the time to get the money for, and find, each car required. If you could select a car from a list and use that car all through the series, that would be better in my opinion.

replay verification for lap times is an essential, though this may ostracise/preclude those without the use of a digital camera to present their lap time evidence - which is unfortunate.

i agree that no. of laps per race should be limited to ten maximum.

i did enjoy the present/previous system, but do we really need to have 'qualifying' and 'race', can we not just have a straight time trial series?

I'm hoping to get this done today, can anybody post up the GT500 & GT300 car list please.

I'm thinking about running 10 lap races depending on track length, this still being finalized, but we are steering away from 20 lap races for a few reasons.

For watching Replays it will be a Honor System where people posting their replay will have to make note of their errors and penalties, anybody can check (US copies check US and the same for EU) Not all replays need be checked, only suspec or people who just want to see the run.

Alright then.
Just a quick question about that, what constitutes a penalty? I assume that if you go off track at any point you have to say so, but do you only get penalised if you gain time?
For instance, if, on the Autumn Ring track, you go off on the first corner into the gravel trap, you loose a lot of time getting out again. Would there still be a penalty?

I tried to copy the car list, but it appears that Justin has deleted it.
