GTP Le Mans Series
Petit Le Mans (30 Laps Fuji 2005GT)
Petit Le Mans is in the books, and many changes have taken place in the standings. This was a hugely disappointing turnout for LMS competition, being one of the penultimate events of the season. Those that did participate have skyrocketted in the standings, while those that did not have suffered a very serious blow in the overall championships.
Qualifying in Prototypes had two seperate drivers take pole. RACECAR took the P1, with driver Delfino the only car to qualify in P2.
Both classes in Grand Touring were won by Ballstothewall, a clean sweep in GTS and GT.
Races had the usual culprits win out, with huge point shifts. P1 had the suddenly surging RACECAR win his 3rd race in a row, while ICallShotgun took P2 for the 5th time in a row and 9th time this season. With the mysterious absence of Drew22, ICallShotgun took top honors in GTS, and BallstotheWall won in GT in very a hard-fought class.
Grand Touring Driver's championship has been clinched by BallstotheWall and congratulations are in order to him for winning the first championship of GTPLMS Competition.
Manufacturers championships have been clinched in GTS and GT. BMW takes home the GTS championship and Mazda wins the GT title. Congratulations to all drivers and winners so far this season, and it shows that Round 10 at Laguna Seca will be more important than ever. See you all there.
