NIGHT MICHAEL

Drew22 just came back from a vacation so he might post here or PM you later on.

Times sent in.:indiff:

Not feeling really confident about how I'll place in the standings this week. But at least I have a 'reasonable excuse' that I posted earlier tonight in the Drivers Lounge thread. :dopey:

Had I had more time, I could have squeezed in a few more tries in each of the classes. I could pretty much race the course in GT3, but as I went into the more powerful classes, I found out that 'driving' the car improved my chances of not losing control of the car and ramming it into the armco or the cliff.:scared: Even Turn 2a has a rather deadly booby-trap waiting to be sprung on you if you go too far into the curve and have the pedal to the metal.

Best of luck to the rest of you drivers this week. I'll catch you at 'The Valley' for the next round!:sly:👍

I love Deep Forest, it's very similar in style to my two favorite tracks in the UK. Oulton Park (where Anne and I just spent a weekend watching the British Superbikes) and Cadwell Park.

Both tracks I have done track days at, and they are scary and extremely fast. But the adrenaline rush is a real kicker, when you start getting it right.

Looking at a single stopper in Pro, not touched the Viper yet so far!

Neil

Did a 1stopper in GT3, and a 2 stopper. difference was .127s. yeah. 1/10th of a second. guess what I'm going with.
Haven't gotten to GT2, 1, or PRO, and this weekend it's a track-weekend as course marshal/steward. might end up w/ DNF this week.

c

finished the races for all classes. 2 stoppers for all. No time for more than 1 run in each.

PRO was the only one I'm unhappy with. Ended up spinning out on lap 8 through Turn 6. didn't hit anything, but it's an embarrassingly long slide. As for the rest, I feel really good about it. the M3 was fast right out of the gate, and except for out and in laps, times were w/in .7s of my best lap throughout.

c

Times sent!

One stopper in PRO, 2 stopper in GT1.

Neil

I am so proud of my times in PRO and GT2. The goal for me in this race was to Beat the best times set in qualifying and I did just that. In PRO, I managed to obliterate C-H-A-R-G-E-R's best time twice in a row and in GT2 on the 21st lap, I finally managed to shatter his GT2 time. As for stoppers, I managed a 2-stopper in PRO and 1 in GT2. How hard were you guys going?

Everything is done right now, just cross finish line in PRO... I think that was really great, very happy and proud :) No mistakes and best strategy for me... 2 stops everywhere (1 stopper or 3 stoper about 5 secs slower overal) In each class laps during the whole race are very close to my qualifier results, and everywhere best laps are better. In PRO a one minute was broken! Good luck to everyone, still scared with Sammi's best times, awaiting for results... And now it's time to go to bed (about 3 AM Moscow time)

I'm also happy with my results and I really love this track. Managed to beat my best lap time in qualifying. Stopped twice, using RM, RM and RS.

"sigh", what in the world did I do wrong? I had the fastest l;aps twice in a row and Consistanly made times in the 1'01 range. It might be just me, but somethings fishy about those times considering in the specs I drove with, a lap within the 59 range wasn't really possible unless Super softs were used.

Congrat's to all winners and podiums!

I too, did get a shock from Charger's fastest lap time, BUT, I have just looked back through the results threads and he got a 1'01.0xx in the quali round on mediums.
A softer compound 'generally' gives between 1.25 and 1.75 seconds a lap improvement in time.
So, a 59.6xx is perfectly within the realms of possibility, and in-fact PROBABILITY.

So, I wouldn't worry about it! He's a fast bugger anyway!

Neil

Really enjoy this)) 👍 Apricot Hill, Deep Forest, El Capitan, Grand Valley... I like every square inch of them... Numerous kilometres...

Conratulations to podium drivers as usual...

As for the strategy:

PRO: 8|8|6 (m/m ; m/m ; s/s)
GT1: 7|5|5|5| (m/m ; s/s ; s/s ; s/s)
GT2: 8|8|6 (m/m ; m/m ; s/s)

And now Great Valley awaits)

You're right. That was on softs. Also don't forget that it was final segment, so car was about 0.5 secs faster 'cause of fuel usage.
