Sub-Zero. It's Godzilla for 🤬's sake!

Overrated. A Corvette C5 performs better in the game than one of those. Only tuned does it become into a good car. For that, Uncool.

Like he said, overrated.

UNCOOL

I agree with L here. I drove one awhile ago and was shocked at how bad it was. Very overrated, uncool.

It's actually a good car but there's plenty it does wrong.

As in... It manages to understeer rather badly and just feels unnatural.

So uncool.

Hmmmmmm...... Ricer, bought by pushers and their dealers, but no one else (save people who think that it will get them noticed by women, when in fact that only shows women how desperate they are to be noticed. Rep bigger than actual aachievement. Seriously uncool.

I voted uncool because its one of those cars that is overrated, and overused in racing games. I'd rather an R32.

Too overrated, even if it makes the simply to awesome Grim R34per. Uncool.

Cool car, but the R32/33/35 look better to me. Driving is fine :)

The fact alone that you'll need 40+ bhp more power, 10+ lb/ft more torque and 150+ kg less weight - and unrealistically high levels of rear end grip - to outperform it should qualify it as something else than overrated. It's a good car for what it is (an overweight everyday car turned into a sports coupe) but thanks to the Crap and the Curious series people seem to think it should be the best car ever and then proceed to note how much it sucks because it gets beaten by something a class or two higher. Much like in the example above. But agreed, I'd much rather have an R32 as it was the true giant slayer in its time.

It's not Fast and the Furious I'm talking about. That would have put the car in Seriously Uncool, but it's not its fault that it was featured in a movie like that one. It's the fact that just because it's a Skyline, and given the the racing pedegree its antecessors had, everyone thinks "it's a Skyline! Godzilla!". I still have to see an aspect resembling Gozilla in this car, stock. 👎 I hate when reputation preceeds a car.

That said, I don't believe is a bad car, compared to other cars in the game. But considering the amount of hype surrounding the car, it seriously brings its coolness down.

I voted uncool. Granted, it's a very capable car. But styling wise I hate it and it is very expensive to buy. The R32 will always be my favourite.

Sub Zero. Yea, it pushes a bit, but I'm always amazed at some of the stuff I can pull in ANY R34 generation GT-R. I can forgive a bit of understeer because it's possible to "trick" this car into other behaviors if you're skillful as you drive. And that's while it's stock.

Again, menacing looks, pricey but worth it, lots of power/tuning options. R34s are so good, I rarely drive them...I'd wind up demolishing lots of competition if I did. 👍

I agree with most of you on the hype angle, but for the moment I'm ignoring it.

They can't afford it, genius.. hence why they drive the cheaper GT-T and other RWD versions

What are the actual rules of these threads?
It seems most posters take 'coolness' to measure performance.

Also, we must face facts here:
As car-nerds, we're hardly the best to judge the coolness of a car, as we're anything but cool..
Not being honest with yourself is totally not cool. :sly:

To me, performance has no impact on how cool a car is, and you'd have to be a serious nerd to appreciate the technology that makes the R34 great.

Seriously uncool.

^Guess I'm a nerd then. :P

Don't feel too bad, I think that applies to about 90% of us. :dopey:

I'd gladly sacrifice my left testicle to own a GT-R R34 (They are practically illegal in Norway), but my girlfriend would still think I'm a dork..
