GTR demo released!

First Impressions: phew! I've been playing this demo for a bit now and I really really like it. The sound of the cars is magnifico and the graphics are clean and smooth. I really really need a good wheel to compliment this game (might get a DFPro and hook it up to the PC.)

Now that i've played the Demo I can't wait for this game to come out. I already started fiddling a little bit with the suspension of the Morgan to try to make it a bit friendlier, the snap oversteer is killing me as well as the severe understeer in the "rivage" turn. Its seems a little weird but the Morgan has no anti roll bars.. ???

Anyway, I highly recommend downloading this demo even just to hear the engine sounds. :)

Please don't tell me you didn't know how to switch the pit limiter off.I can't belive so many people didn't know about that.

Anyway,is there any difference between this demo and the press demo?

Anyways, about the differences. The Actual demo lets you race againts the AI. Thats the only difference I know of.
 
What I remember from playing the press demo, you have to start out in 2nd/3rd gear if you use the keyboard or else you will spin out. :(
 
I just played the demo, and I am quite impressed with the game itself. The graphics are great, yet the fps are still high. The physics engine feels good, but I wish I could say the same about the cars included (I hate the Lister Storm and the Morgan Aero 8, I wish they had included a Ferrari). Also, I wish they had released an easier track with the demo than Spa, I would have loved to drive Monza since it is an easy track to drive, unlike Spa with it's constant elevation changes (which is not good for cars that have poor handling under braking). I'm certainly going to consider buying this game for christmas though, I like it! I just wish the demo came with better cars, especially knowing what cars are included with the full version.
 
I noticed the cars handle poorly under braking. I can hardly get through one of the 6 gear corners with out slowing down. If I dodn't slow down the car goes right off the track, even when I'm turning as hard as I can.

great game, a wheel is a must with this game.

The graphics look great and run smooth as silk even with all graphics settings at max and max car on track.
 
The game looks amazing,but I don't have a powerful enough PC for it :(. Speaking of which what are the minimal stats for it?
Is it basically GPL but with better graphics, modern cars and tracks with the corresponding physics? What I'm trying to get at is, that GPL was an ultimate simulator and very realistic on the car physics front, but you couldn't use a keyboard etc, rather than an arcady game.
 
I also tried it on my old system (P4 1.5GHz GForce 4 MX440 64MB) and it run ok.

I thought I might give the multiplayer a shot, and your right it doent work :mad:
 
They have the championship option too, Its just so you can see what it will look like. When you click on them it has an example screen.
 
Yes, try pageup/down or home/end keys. I start mashing them till its back to incar.
 
I disabled windows sticky keys crap. Yeah one of those buttons I meantioned will put you back incar view.

I loved the press demo and I NEED this one to work! I have downloaded the latest everything, my computer could eat the recommended specs for lunch. When I start it it goes black, goes into a smaller window and a windows error comes up (says nothing about what kind of error) I hope I can get this to work :guilty:
 
ah no, my GTR demo works fine with a very quick system.

some games dont like background things running, I usually run msconfig to configure the things that run when I boot my system (has helped me many times) (but be carefull with it)
 
Will this be available in the US or will we have to have it shipped overseas? I read somthing on a forum about someone spending a crazy ammount of money to have the game shipped over to the US :indiff:
