My son really likes racing games... on his iPad ! So I decided to build him his own sim rig. I ordered the GTR Simulator GTA-F from amazon.com because, well, they are the only ones that would ship to Hawaii without charging me $400 to ship the box(es). Setup was fairly easy, but let me say, this rig is solid and it doesn't flex a bit. I first assembled it to fit me (6'1", 275lbs) and I can't get this thing to move at all. But the chair didn't fit me, my shoulders are too wide for that backrest, so I modified it and stuck it in my son's bedroom.. My 9 year old son is only 4'4 so did have to do some extensive modifications to it. first of all with a 3/8" drill bit I drilled holes in the square tubing to move the seat closer to the steering wheel, second I had to move the post that holds the steering wheel deck lower. You can see on the photo the side riser that goes to the wheel deck has a hole in it. That is where the wheel deck usually bolts in. I moved it down and forward. The wheel/pedals is a Thrustmaster T500rs, the screen is a curved 40" Samsung 4K TV and everything is currently being run on a PS4. It's not quite finished. I still have to do some cable management and maybe wall mount the PS4 on the back wall... I couldn't find any information about this cockpit before I ordered it, so if you are considering it hit me up with any questions!

He's a lucky guy. My 10 year old nephew came around to our house a couple of months ago and I gave him a go in my sim rig playing GT6. You could tell from his face that he thought it was the coolest thing in the world! My daughter on the other hand just likes to sit in it with out a game running and pretend she is driving her dolls to the shopping centre!

Yea when my son is not driving, his older sister likes to sit in it and watch Hulu... He is not happy his sister is spending time in his room

Is 4k better than full hd if you hook it up with ps4?

The short answer: No

The long answer: I was debating on whether to use 1 screen or 3 for surround, but after getting the rig the monitor mounts are too far away from the screen to use anything smaller than a 32" tv, so I decided to go with 1 curved screen. The smallest 16x9 aspect curved screen I could find in the US was this 40" 4k Samsung. While the PS4 won't drive the 4k He does have a PC in his room with a Titan X card that should be able to push 4k@60hz should he decide to switch to PC.

Nice setup, and lucky for your son, that you wouldn't fit in the chair. ehehe
cof cof...that arcade on the left....home made? Nice to see today's kids playing with the old time coin eaters...ARCADES :)
Curious how my little daughter (1year and 10 months) that also loves to seat (well she has to be stand up) on the playseat, playing with the wheel from one side to the other.

Yea it's home made. But it has an original NeoGeo single slot (MV1C) board inside. Ya gotta love the classics.
