As I'm purchasing F1 2018 and Dirt 4 to sit alongside GTS as my racing library I want to ask how is Formula 1 driving different in the F1 2018 game and off-road racing different in Dirt 4.
Do they topple GTS in those categories?
If you have two or all three of them, which is your favorite game?

Sure, driving a W08 in GT Sport is unrealistic by comparison to F1 2018, and the rally physics are nowhere near Dirt 4. However neither of those games do GT3, GT4, Le Mans, Rally, F1, Track Days, Super GT, Road Cars and much more at the same time.

So what you lack in specialization you make up for with diversity.

Depends on what you want...

I have both GTS and F1. The career mode in F1 I became addicted to but the online is just full of dirty drivers who have no respect for clean racing whatsoever.

GTS on the other hand is second to none in terms of the online gameplay as I mentioned a few weeks back. The SR rating really makes a significant difference in terms of clean racing. Not played any single player on GTS so can’t really comment on that but I think I read that you start from the back every single race and you can’t change that which sucks in my opinion

Have you tried PC2 or AC Ultimate Edition yet? You seem to be artificially restricting your choices.

Basically, if you like all three motorsports (GT/F1/Rally), and have a wheel, give them all a try!

But pad response is going to definitely play a part in your choice if you won't get a wheel. And how hard you are prepared to work to change your driving habits from GTS, which is definitely pad-friendly (at the cost of realism).

I'm not interested in those games as I decided I only wanted a F1 only game and a rally only game. Surely it can't be impossible to progress in those with the Dualshock.

You don't always start at the back. There are various amounts of AI cars depending on the event. Some have as few as 12, some 16 and some with the full 20. Sometimes you start at the back, sometimes you start in the middle. Not that makes all that much difference, just thought I'd mention it .
