Good, as long as they do the job and shake up the racing :P

Also, track limits. 2 wheels (inside) must be kept on the kerb at all times. If you abuse this, lift off. Stewards will be watching and if anyone sees anyone doing it please let me know 👍
Going to make it a particular hot spot for stewards to pay attention to... Mercedes Arena complex. I like you all, but I'm calling this as I've seen the run-off being abused into Turn 3, and Turn 4 (which I am guilty of on occasion)...

Anyone on tonight?
I hope to get on for an hour before bed, but currently cleaning valves so cant make any promises

2 tyres on curbs at all times
Whether your clean or not it still happens, but its best just to lift off the throttle.

As filo said, if the kerb is in the centre of your screen you should be fine.

Also, will have some info about Wednesday racing later 👍

Also I want to have a look at the pit stop problems. I think it happens every 2nd race. If that's the case then at least we found the issue, although the only way to fix it is a new room every race :(

Post 2 updated with starting grid, and OP altered and removed rolling starts info.

As I had no response to my question I have out a poll up about DNF drivers. I've had a few people ask but I need to know, so if they do change I can alter the points and the top 5 may possibly change. The poll will close tomorrow but ideally i'd like everyone to cast their vote tonight.

Opening a lobby now 👍

If there's already one open sorry lol, but I need to test pits so need to open one myself, feel free to join 👍

Thanks to storm, ninja, danny, star and Otis for testing tonight. The only conclusions we can get is that there are none lol. The pit spike seems to be completely random and you know its going to happen to me this week :/

Best I can suggest is running Q in practice mode, but whether or not it does anything I don't know. People joining/leaving the lobby with issues may be the problem, but can check on the GT forum if anyone has the same issues.

But way off the pace here, I know it's a bogey track but I'm struggling massively no matter what tune I put on. :(

The Nurburgring GP/F is one of my least liked tracks, mostly because it is one of the annoying circuits where you have to be absolutely perfect around every corner. Just a hair too fast, in the gravel pit. Just a hair too slow, and the lap is considerably longer. At full tilt, complete focus, and spot on with inputs, the best I can pull is a 2:13. This is going to be a hard race.

Currently, my best time offline is around the mid 8's, when I finally get a go online I'm probably looking at high 8's to low 9's, but the fact that I was only hovering around high 9's to mid 10's during one of the pre-season tests is worrying me a bit.

The GP/F is a course I very rarely run, so I'm not surprised with the times I'm running, I do wish they were a little better though.

Everyone is improving on their pre season times so I wouldn't worry 👍

Same, although its an easy track to get a rhythm going, just not a quick one

Poll will close in an hour, looks like points will be awarded so i'll get it changed 👍

I'm glad now, seeing as how i'll need them due to the pit issues

A DC is a DC, but that's a bit too far really and for how regular it happens

Also, POINTS have been updated. I think the points for DNF drivers is a good shout, as it has closed everything up and will continue to do so, and the final showdown will be closer than I thought as well.

Qualifying will be done in a new way, as explained in the briefing later. Still the same style but just done in practice mode.

And finally, some people want one make racing. So Wednesdays (traditional GTTCC day) we'll be holding a series (lasting an hour in total) which will also give people an opportunity to race new tracks and practice GTTCC which will conincide with the night. Similar format and it can be used as a testing ground. The car will be something which was part of people's favourite season, and the handling and ERS makes a brilliant little race car! :D

I've crept into the high 2:08's and low 2:09s, but I can seem to get anywhere close to being competitive from what I've seen from Danny...

The setup I've noticed on some of the Hondas is very unique, it makes it a shame that PD's version of ride height physics means that Rake works in the opposite way it is originally meant to.

My setup seems to work ok for me, but means I'm off the pace. If the Toyota and Nissan boys want a copy of my setup I can PM you, since I seem fairly ok by comparison in those, Nissan especially...

I'll work something out later this evening for the Honda...

Race debrief - Round 4/5/6 - Nurburgring GP/F

After a mixed first round race 2 is here! :D The driving and racing was great and we hope the new changes will continue to make it so. Even if people like mike have told me they cant make it, it's best to still have a read so they are up to date with important information.

Firstly, points have been updated. Personally I think the DNF drivers scoring points is a good call as it has tightened everything up and provided a closer championship.

Start Procedure
Standing starts have returned! Everyone agreed it was the best thing to do. After testing we found that as we all got to the first corner the FR drivers did not pull a gap, so it should be great to have our old starts back.

Formula Rocket
Due to lack of interest (as expected) the support series has been cancelled so we can focus more on the below.

Lobby connections
This was the main cause of delays, lag and pit stop problems. Constant joining of the lobby and traffic puts a strain on the servers. Therefore a brand new lobby will be opened 15 minutes before race start. No one is allowed to join until called. I can not make this any clearer. Everyone should be ready to join. I will send them a message over PSN, and they should join right away. If anyone joins when they weren't asked to they will be handed a reprimand right away. No excuses, if everyone does this sensibly we can have an enjoyable night. Once you are in the lobby, you are in and can not leave. If you DC during the race then okay, however if you struggle to join and keep losing connection then you wont be able to race, as chances are you'll end up disconnecting and causing problems during the race. So please, wait until called and we can get it done much more smoothly. We may do a manual grid race 3 but not sure yet.

Attendance
In the entry list the main 16 drivers have been selected. These 16 drivers will immediately be assumed to be racing. If you're not able to make it then you will need to let me know ASAP. An AWOL full time driver will be removed to a reserve driver. Reserve drivers should be on GTP and possibly PSN prior to the race start, and on stand by ready to race if they are called.

Qualifying
A slight change. After race 1 drivers can not go onto track, but must wait in the pits. When everyone is ready, I will start a 10/12 minute automatic cycle for race start. When I call GREEN qualifying will then start, in practice mode. This is basically due to the pit stop issues. We've been unable to find the cause, so the best thing to do is to leave the lobby settings as they are and not change anything unless absolutely vital. Once Q has begun drivers are not allowed to leave the track and exit back to the lobby. This will also allow any late comers to join in with Qualifying.

Success penalties
Penalty system has been edited and new pens can be found in OP. All info for next race can be found in Post #2

CRZ Championship
A throwback to one of the best seasons we had with one make no tuning cars. Held on a Wednesday nights for an hour and thread can be found HERE

Wet races
Intermediate and wet tyres are now banned, only SS tyres may be used. Suzuka seems to be dry this Friday.

Just a note on the new Qualifying format, you DO NOT want to warp back to the pits at any point. Last thing you want to do is set a Pole Position lap and then invalidate it by doing this. I've seen this be an issue in previous series, the FGT series True ran is an example that springs to mind.

I know, sorry about that. :P I graduated on Monday so I've been enjoying the time off haha.
No worries mate lol congrats

Yeah forgot to mention that, remember to drive back to the pits guys

Drive back to the pits and then exit, or just sit there? Usually whenever it's in Practice Mode, my car just goes through the pits and never stops in the box. :/
