Guides for liveries

Anyone know of any good guides for creating liveries? Not played a GT game since GT4 and the livery editor is new to me. I kinda understand the basics of the editor in adding logos, but Id love to learn how to do more advance liveries.
Ive attached a photo of my first real attempt at making a full car livery and the inspiration came from the Dempsey Racing 911 Le Mans cars. Now I’m quite happy with it but the positions of the logos are maybe questionable. The camo print is something I need help on. I want to wrap the full car in this print but I see this is not possible and you have to wrap the panels individually. On some panels this is noticeable when the pattern overlaps. What’s the best way to wrap cars? And wrap panels?

Final question is how do I find specific deals? I have the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 car and I want the front grill surround painted like the race cars, but I can’t find a decal that’s fits. I have found one but I can’t get it to line up as it’s not shaped correctly. I have seen other users have found a decal that works but I can find it.

GT7 allows you to open other people's liveries and see what they did to achieve certain things. Maybe find a livery that you like and see how it was made.
Other than that it's really just learning by doing and a lot of try and error

Can you save a livery and then apply it any car? I tried to transfer my McLaren livery to the Aston Martin but couldn’t see a way to do this

There are quite a few games that allow it to some extent, thus with a much more basic design/livery creator. NFSU for example moved the design you created 1:1 to the next car you got, but that was only pre-selected decals.
It could work tho, but only if grouping decals was a thing. It'd make applying license plates to cars much easier for example.

That would require an insanely smart and well-developed AI. Not to mention you're using shapes, the game wouldn't know how to scale them and resize accordingly.
