I'm asking anyone who knows can you get a special modification to get the doors on a car to rise up vertically Lamborghini-style on cars whose doors swing out. Like could I get this to happen on a pretty-much everyday car like a Civic or Camry. Don't ask me why.

You would have to completely re-engineer the structure of the roof. Car doors are very heavy things, and if not done properly the roof would collapse the moment you opened the doors.

It is possible to do on any car. Then again, anything is possible with money.

That first car is an MR2 by the way.

THIS is a gull wing.

My father can't wait till he gets one

He's buying it for $25,000 canadian

completely stainless steel, its a beautiful car

(we need to instal a flux capacitor for it to be real awesome ;) )

Your dad is buying a Delorean, for the US equivelent of $17,000?? How much restoration does it need, or how much, and what kind of drugs are included in the payment. :P ;)

man, they are really rare in mint condition
i think i read that there are only 2000 left in the world, and only a fraction are mint

its also one of those cars that the older it gets, the more it is worth too

not to mention we are in central Ontario...
these cars are pretty rare around here

(I really have no clue how much they go for, just seems they would go for alot more due to their rareity-was just makin a joke-all fun intended ;))

For one thing, no - gull wing doors would be impossible on a four-door sedan like the camry without structural support directly under the doors, i.e. in the middle of the rear seats.

Another thing, mint or not, that's only an average price for a DeLorean. $30,000 US would be an extreme high.

Yeah, though they are rare vehicles, they really weren't all that great of cars. If it is slightly out of shape, the price will drop dramatically.

wow-had no idea they went that cheap! I just figured, good shape or bad, due to teh rarety, they'd go for higher.. strange engine choice they did with it too, heh. pieced too many cars together to make it, but really cool-wish I had one to work on!

decah.net

they say that it costs less than a pair of rims for the kit and it will take about two hours to install. (not actuall gull wings though)

and my dads friend owns one of those mercedes that had the gull wing doors but it is the convetible model (a beutiful car)
