cause and effect: the public will create a black market when deprived the privledges of free trade. i think hand cannons are to be used for deer, moose, duck, fish, and other game - not humans. if that is kept in mind, i say gun as birthright; if not, i blame society. but thats only my humble opinion. i dont own a gun, but i am senile :thumbsup:

Washington D.C. has the highest crime rate in the U.S. and nobody can buy, carry, own any firearm in the Washington D.C. city limits. After England baned most firearms, crime has risen 3 to 5 folds, the Aussies are worse off. Sorry for all the fun, this is the general discission group isn't it?

Who cares about gun control. Its not my problem as I dont own one and dont care to own one.
The only gun I own is a paintball gun and yes I like shooting ppl. Its a fun game and we play responsibly and safely.

Wow! I thought I get tared and feathered. All I want my Federal Government to do is interstate commerce and defend the country. I think everyone is responsible for their actions. Use drugs, drink but dont do it when it involves others like driving drunk or high. When they die makes the Human Race stronger. Abortion is wrong but don't outlaw it. I had family members die when it was illegal. We should let everyone come in the United States. That is what makes our country the greatest in the world is our diversity. Our school system should require firearm saftey & marksmanship classes from K through 12. Then at least the gangbangers can hit what they're shooting at. The Death Penalty is not for revenge. Its to protect citizens of this country, if a person has no remorse in ending a person's life, then he/she should be down in the most humane way.

Hi, Being from the Uk, where we have never had a need for Guns, why is it, that in the US nearly everyone has them, or could have them, if they wanted, any darn nut could just go out and buy one (I think), So why the need ? Is it just something from back in time (History) Or is it that no government has the balls to ban them.

Robisme- We don't really need guns(well, at least I don't).
The reason I have guns is because I used to go hunting with my Dad when I was little, but as I got older I quit going hunting with him. I still have my guns because I still love to shoot them, and I hunt occasionally. As a matter of fact; I'm going shooting this Sunday with my friend Blake. Yes, a world without ANY guns would probably be safer, but what can ya do...? No matter what ya do, there'll still be guns everywhere ya look...
Anyways, just rambling, pay no attention...

Hasn't crime rate gone up and the Bobbies had to arm themselves because of it? Have you ever seen a gun fly around shooting people? I haven't don't you need a person to pull a trigger? What happen to the Jews, and anyone who opposes the Nazi Party in World War 2? What happen in Russia if a person opposes the Communist Party during the Purges? What happened to the Educated People in Camboatia when the Kamhar Rouge were in power? Do you know hundreds of millions of people died because of gun control. Do you know that Scotland has a higher murder rate per 100,000 than United States. Gun Control Activists are Power Hungry Tyrants that promote racism. When is the last time the United States had a war on their soil?

Look don't talk about our government not having balls....we kicked the *uck out of you guys didn't we. But anyway you cannot ban guns all of a sudden....it would cause chaos.....but each year gun laws do get tougher....it's not easy to purchase a gun in many states. Many states are running crime checks on you before you are able to purchase a gun. You must have a gun safety liscense to purchase a gun in maryland. But the people that buy guns from dealers are not the ones who commit the crimes. but anyway OWN A GUN it is your right and the government will never be able to take that away from you.......as long as g.w. is prez.

oh okay so now we see, instead of ONE immobalizing* gunshot that can be healed and have the vandal back to 100% in the matter of weeks, you're policeman must beat the living sh** out of them with a batton!?
personally, if i was a robber or whatever, i'd rather be shot in the leg then i would be beat up with a batton. with the shot, the only thing that would hurt would be my leg, with the batton, hell everything would hurt.

and also, people in america have guns, (IMO) because we do something called sport shooting. atleast that's true with me my fam all my neighbors and friends. almost every sat we are all out on the range shooting at a target or skeet.

No offence intended by what I said, I ment People who make the law (government), they dare not say Ban the gun, because they know it would kill any of their hopes /aspirations ect, whatever the may be.

i think 99% of the people who bought/ own a gun had no intentions of committing a crime with it......and what are the chances that somebody is going to be able to run after u and start beating you with a baton.....especially in a car chase....the only way to stop the car would be for a nail strip or a road block....personally i would rather be shot also....but shooting somebody can stop anybody from long distances not 1 foot......me and my dad own 34 rifles and pistols we have never had the intent to commit a crime with them.....they are for security , hunting, target practice and a keepsake for our family to pass on
