I do lift off the gas when I shift... It's just down shifting that troubles me in the game, I only learnt to rev match (heel toe) recently and while I can do it, I'm maybe not consistent with it and fudge it and cause some of these issues... Still don't get the whole 5th to 3rd business when I put the stick clearly in 4th.
How should one adjust their technique then? To make it work? What do you mean by slip it?
Meaning you can’t have any amount of throttle applied or else it won’t go into gear. You must be completely out of the throttle for it to change.
I see... So if my rev matching timing is slightly off, say I rev match as I'm putting the clutch in to change gear rather than doing it imeadiatly after the clutch, this could explain why I often go into neutral downshifting? Because I'm carelessly hitting the throttle to rev match with out timing it properly?
Not sure would have to see. I did own a G29 shifter before and I did have troubles with one missing gears.
