Halo trouble

i just installed halo, and i have trouble, when i start up the game Halo boot sreen comes on and after that my pc monitor goes blank. it blinks with flashes of light and i can here the background music, i can also here my cursor touch the buttons but i cant see anything.

does anyone know whats wrong?

Do you have Anti-aliasing enabled? If so, disable it.

What video card drivers do you have?

im not sure about drivers, but i have a geforce fx5200

Erm, it sounds like Halo is possibly trying to use a resolution that your monitor or videocard isn't able to support. It's a wild guess though.

I've only played the demo and even then I've never had this problem.
