I think it can work as long as game supports both the wheel and the controller at the same time. Lets say you create it for Gran turismo 4 and 5. It will work because those games recognize both The wheel and the controller at the same time. I am not sure about other games. First to find out plug the wheel and controller, go race and see if you can steer with the wheel and press a button on a controller to make the Ebrake work.

it would be awesome to get an old car handbrake and hook it up to a switch so you when you pulled up on it it would active the handbrake. it wouldn't be analog, but it would sure make things more realistic, especially if you have a full GT25 cockpit setup already.

I've just taken apart an old ps2 controller and got a ps2 - ps3 connection off ebay, so when i make my cockpit I'll try and put a handbrake in.

If i don't buy an old 1 I'll make a wooden 1.

Any ideas

So all you have to do, is make some kind of Mechanism, lever so that and stick the controller simply under that leaver :)

Actually no, its even easier than that ^^^

All you need is 12v and a relay, so when the handbrake is up, the relay triggers and connects the terminals across the (o) button, putting the handbrake on in game too!.

Nice :) , post pics one you are done.
It be also good if you play good sim racing games, that would come in handy for some rally :)
