Handbrake with analogue joystick: how to configure axis?

Hi. I'm making a small handbrake with an analogue joystick (Logitech Attack 3). However, I'm not sure it's working 100% with Dirt Rally. With Assetto Corsa, it's perfect, because the game allows to control the axis. It's detected as axis 2. It's supposed to be always at 50% (a joystick is centered), so what I do is to modify the range in the game from 50% to 100% (moving joystick from center to all the way to the left, for instance). However, in Dirt Rally I cannot see such an option. It's identified as Right LS and that's all. Does this mean that it's digital or only half the power? If I could see an on-screen indication of the usage of the handbrake in the game... Any idea how to properly configure the axis on the game? Maybe modifying the configuration files?

First of all, not all games support analogue handbrakes. Secondly, whether an axis is seen as absolute (like a trigger) or relative (like a stick) is down to how the controller itself is programmed. You may have to use a different controller.

Well, yesterday I could finally attach the handbrake module to the table and do some tests of driving in Dirt Rally. I was wrong. The handbrake seems to work as expected. If it was 50% of power, the car would be braking all the time, but that's not the case. Also, the handbrake works as analogue, because you can see that moving the stick a little makes the car slow down. Moving the stick to the max, makes it stop (or spin if you are on a bend). Also, I'm surprised that Dirt is recognizing 4 devices here: T300 wheel, G25 pedals (independent usb device), shifter (not connected to the wheel, but as independent usb device) and the joystick as handbrake. I had read that it only accepts 3.

I finished my little handbrake:
