Happy Improvements

So being the rather bored person I can be at this time of the year, mostly due to the poor economy and my businesses are very slow, I've started to revisit some of the circuits I like one being Tokyo R246.
Hopping in my Xanavi GTR '03. Slapped on the big turbo kit, qualifying tires and had a go.

Much to my shagrin knocked off over 2 seconds of my previous best on that circuit with only a couple of minor adjustments, to so far a 1'18.765! It wasn't a "clean" run and I feel I can probably knock a few more tenth's off, and we shall see.

While I'm fully aware that isn't close to what most of you can do for me it is an accomplishment in its self.

Please don't flame the old man. Yes I'm an old man, and most likely old enough to be almost everyone on these board's dad :guilty: , but still a big kid at heart.

You made two threads with the same name. Heck, I may start my own thread tituled "Then and Now" too!

But yeah... It's amazing how does one improve with the years. Two years ago, I could barely get silver in a license. In December, I golded every medal I had left. And you know what? It felt great to become better than before. That's why one must not cease the practice. ;)

What does "zealous" mean? I'm not native to english language, so I don't have a vast knowledge of it, although my comments may prove otherwise.

I hope my PS2 lasts for many years, because I want to get the most out of GT4 :D

zealous - Adj marked by active interest and enthusiasm :sly:

Well I finally got a fairly clean lap with a new time of 1'17.549 . I'm happy with that :)

Yeah, razor, I agree. Business is slow here in America. Christ I only had two cars to work on the entire day. Normally I'd have at least 4 to 8.

So far as this thread goes, I'm not sure what (if any) happy improvements I've made so far as pure lap times and such goes; I rarely pay attention to numbers. :guilty:

Well I am waiting to go back to work, and in the 3 weeks I have had off over christmas, I've gone from 20ish golds to currently 54.

I think it's amazing that my driving is so capable considering my age and experience. In GT3 days I just used overkiller cars, and never really practised driving. Last year I was more of a tuner that a driver, but when I started actually racing, I was astounded by my ability. I've improved really quickly, then hit a wall slightly... I suppose GT5 is going to help me a lot more, too :mischievous:.
