On the southern Sliderz thread MrDinosaur94 talked about drifting the Carousel and the corkscrew backwards. This got me thinking, what is the most difficult corner to drift on any Gran Turismo track?
Personally one challenging corner is the first 2 turns of Suzuka. First corner requires a wide entry with lots of speed running to the curb so you can continue drifting into the second, tighter corner. This is just a suggestion. I want to know of anything more difficult

Personally I dont have much trouble on the longer turns like the Sazuka one, but more tighters corners like the small hairpins of Tsukuba :(

Meh

1st two corners of suzuka are piss easy.
1 corner that is a Chellenge and 1 that I like to link is turns 9-10 on Tokyo. H

Yeah fair enough :grumpy: just an example but your right with the 2 corners on 246

Cape ring. The "Ring" corner.

You need a lot of speed for that corner. The camber of the corner makes you spin and fall inwards if you stuff up. Its suppose to be a high speed/ high g turn making it hard to drift

Those tight corners on R246 before the hairpin back up to the main straight, god damn that is it tight but I get the line right.

What chicane? its all a big S. The turns on Suzuka east are my favorite to drift on

That what I meant I just didn't know how to say it at the time, and I find them a pig to drift I can never get the speed right and have real trouble linking them

Thats all right :) feinting and Weight transfer are key. Just keep practising and you'll fall in love with it

Damn man... if you can't get that down then you need to practice practice practice! Suzuka is one of the simpler tracks to drift :indiff:

Fuji GT has a stretch that is a challenge to drift. It's between Dunlop and Netz sections. It's a long corner with just enough space to clear the whole section.

If a corner becomes too long for me to drift i feint the car a couple of times depending on the length of track.

Or if there is an inside curb, just let your car come in slow on it, then try to ride it without going over, most of the time it should push you back out.

I have seen some people do it fully but yo need to seriously fang the car.

Tried to drift the Ring at Cape ring today, thing is a pain in the butt to drift I would get my speed up, then initiate the drift but my car just keep slowing down and dropping down into the bottom wall

the hardest corners i find are on the custom toscana tracks. i don't have any trouble with elevation changes like a lot of people do, but some of the corners on those tracks are just ridiculous haha

I know what you mean. By any bug or who knows why, some corners and even some links brings an unoticed lack of grip, pretty much similar to a really banked section.

When im creating my tracks, this is one of my biggest concerns. Some new custom tracks im creating are nice, but i must give up of it and try something diferent when i find this issue, cose sometimes even elevation changes dont solve it.

This section backwards is one of my absolute favorite spots to drift. Just has an outstanding flow to it.

10 complexity
will yield corners atop hills.
Just check the map first.

Nah, thats not the point. The issue happens completly randomly. Its not about the terrain elevation, section complexity, section inclination, section smoothness... Its more a random issue and it happens mostly in places where a corner is being linked to another, where shouldn´t recall any problem.

Are we taking about our favourite corners to drift or hardest?
Because of all the corners and sections mentioned, I only have real trouble with the cape ring loop and im ****e at drifting in GT5 :P

the carousel on the 'Ring is piss easy if you stay off the concrete.
The nurburg GP track is probably the easiest track in the game to drift, was one of the first tracks I could drift using the wheel.

Suzuka East, reverse direction, first corner (aka last corner in regular way). Of course is not the hardest one, but its tricky to measure the right speed entry, specialy if ur rushing in 200 km/h and try to connect a long powerslide till the corner, most people just finish in the wall just before dive into the corner. I like it and its dificulty, cose turns in another completly diferent corner if you go regular or reverse.
