Hardest Corner

What corner do you find the hardest in GT5P and why. For me, it would have to be Turn 1 at Daytona Road. When you come in to it you are carrying so much speed, not to mention you have to brake while turning (an art in itself on a controller). I can't tell you how many times my backend has slid out, but I still enjoy it though, I look foward to it every time.
On a side note, does anyone have any tips for this corner, I feel I'm losing too much time there.

Exactly what I was going to write when I saw this Forum.

It's so difficult to pick braking markers at this corner. I see people go off at this corner all the time online, so we're definetly not alone. Except I use a wheel which does make it a lot easier.

Is true, even when there used to be a ferrari f2007 race there people went off and even i went off. Thats why im getting a wheel for christmas, less screw ups.

Yeah that corner is probably the hardest to get right, hard to get your timing right and easy to unsettle the car coming off the banking and lose the rear end, fuji turn 1 is easy to overshoot since your carrying so much speed and the last turn is hard to get right, most of the turns at suzuka gives me a headache...it`s a very complex and demanding track and requires excellant skill to get right lap after lap. :dopey:

Indeed. The first corner of Daytona circuit is a pain to enter with the right amount of speed.

Yes, first Daytona corner is a hell. And second place takes negatively banked turn before tunnel in Eiger Nordwand Reverse for me.

Turn 1 at Fuji & Daytona. Fuji's easy to over shoot due to speed, and Daytona requires some braking in the turn which is a tricky execution.

I love Daytona Road turn 1, It feels like there is a bump which can really mess with your entry in twitchy cars but when you nail that corner it's more satisfying than any other for me. I find Spoon 2 extremely difficult to get right and T5 at Daytona has so many possible lines, but can be tricky with sixaxis throttle control.

I think just about every corner at Eiger gives me trouble..

All the best

Daytona Road T1 is very hard when you dont have your car setup, and even if you do it cant still be a pain. You seem to carry different speeds into it each lap so picking a braking point isnt easy. When you do pull it off though its awesome.

There are alot of hard corners at Fuji. Mainly because of all the late apex's and most you cant see  Alot of patiences is needed and you cant just stamp on the trottle and go.

The final corner on Eiger too. So many different lines, speeds to carry through, do you brake late or early, and do you run wide in or take the first apex

Owh and by the way.... Finally heres to a sensible and great thread about GT5:P

This is a good thread, the problem is I struggle with a lot of corners, especially turn 1 at Daytona and Spoon, I have driven thousands of laps at Suzuka and whenever I go round it still doesn't feel right. I just can't take some corners smooth enough with consistency. I hope when I get a wheel, I may finally be able to take them properly and give some of you a better race.

I'd say that the Corkscrew on Laguna Seca is really hard. One false move and you're backwards against the tire wall. But the hardest has to the hairpin at Monte Carlo. I can barely do 50km/h there without spinning out! That's why I printed off a few drift set-ups.

can't image how this topic is going to look like when Nurb is released :dopey:

;-)

That track alone will take up pages and pages of people saying they don't like or are not good at a particular corner. I was just sticking to whats on Gt5p now and some of them are tough enough, I can't wait to attempt corners on other tracks, even if I do crash.

I have to agree 100% with turn 1 Daytona Road. And hats off to Stepmania. I was amazed he could even drift that turn very swiftly. Everytime the auto replay comes out, I know its going to be him with sick driftings..

Other hard corners for me are final turn at Fuji and High Speed Ring. Feels very twitchy on that high speed ring final exit especially with MR cars.

Daytona Turn 1 - The only place ABS goes on when I'm playing. It's so frustrating...it's frustrating...it's frustrating.

Daytona 1st is a challenage i break early than noraml in a straight line which means i can then brake later into the deep part just before the turn, it may not be the fastest it sure as hell aint the slowest and its consisitant giving a good exit speed to pass on the next corner

First I was thinking about any other corner, but no, this one is toughest one for me... The speed, brake and turn... and I even have a wheel to even be more percise and 1 out of 3 (which is a lot) I spin my car out of control, and 1 in 3 I get a nice turn without messing up.. other times I mess up and loose time on the corner. :yuck:

Another vote for Daytona T1...ESPECIALLY with the GT-R and 6-axis. I think with a wheel/pedal combo I wouldn't have much of an issue with the entry simply because I could modulate the braking much better, along with the steering angle. The controller really forces me to take it easy into T1 at least to have any type of consistency, as the brakes will go to full force with the tiniest amount of pressure on the square button. My fastest laps always involve a little bit of luck going into T1 though lol.

Also the last turn at Eiger is extremely tough to nail perfectly. Getting your braking point dead on is tough enough, but you must also deal with a totally blind apex. It's also a very important corner to get right in terms of your lap times.
