Hey has anyone got the magic 1000hp yet on these cars?

and does anyone know if the RWD only skyline pumps out more HP when fully Tuned?

The RWD Skyline's don't have anywhere near the max power of the GT-R models. They have smaller engines and single turbos.

There *is* the R33 LM Road Going, but I'm pretty sure it maxes at around 600hp.

The R33 LM never made as much power as the R33 GT-R in any GT, so if that holds true in GT5 it'll barely break 600, if not mid-500's. :indiff:

It hit 900 dead in GT4 actually, but yeah, it seems to be nerfed for GT5.

Has tons of downforce though so it's a good way to sneak up on people in 300-500hp rooms. :D

I also found that the stock R34 gearbox, is much better then buying a custom box, and using the max speed,. It just kills the car completely, but if you keep the stock gearbox I have got 350 easy out of it

How ever, if you do weight reduction on the cars, you get a better hp to weight ratio, and that is more important then hp itself. I think a supra with 725 hp and a weight about 1228 (stock 1500) kg simulate a 900 hp supra some how. Allthough I think the supras hp in this game is abit low, I think 750 or 800 hp would be more fun, because in that way you could compete with the vettes and vipers and gt-r in online drag.

I also know that the supra rz in gt5 is underrated, with proper tune it can be really fast.

PWR doesn't make much difference in terms of top speed honestly... It affects how quickly you get there, yes, but power is what's needed to go plaid.

Yes, if the car has the exact amount of hp, torque, weight, gearing, traction, aerodynamics etc. But that isn't the case. I would say that in this game, weight and power can make a big difference, because people tune their cars. There are other factors than just power and weight that affects your acceleration and top speed.

Ugh...

Yes, other things have effects on top speed and acceleration...

My point is that reducing the weight of a given car will not have a particularly noticeable affect on the top speed of it, as aerodynamic drag is the biggest restriction on top speed all else being equal. You need either less drag (can't be done aside from reducing downforce on those vehicles with adjustable downforce) or more power to overcome it. Less weight makes an extremely negligible difference.
