Normally I am not one to post on here with a problem, but this one is really bugging me and I could do with the insight of some of you guys and some advice.
For my youtube videos I use the Hauppage HD PVR2 GE+ as my recorder. I seem to be having two issues with this particular bit of kit though:
1) On many recordings the audio is out of sync with the video on playback or importing into Vegas etc. Usually the delay is approximately three seconds. Oddly enough though when it is recording and I am watching the recording on the Hauppage capture screen, everything is perfectly synchronised. I have been fiddling with settings for ages and I am no closer to a solution so if anyone does have ideas, I'd be grateful.
2) I seem to get random glitches and dropouts in my recording. I am putting this down to a really rubbish USB Type-B port on the back of the Hauppage, but it may be something else. Anyone have recommendations to secure that port? I am thinking of using a converter, maybe make it USB-B to USB-A and use a different cable?
All the firmware is up to date and I am using the latest version of the software too. Any advice would be appreciated, including telling me to throw the Hauppage out the window and buy an alternate device!
