Hey friends,

For me this beta is amazing, I got tired of GT6 and GT5 differences and said I wouldn't buy it again. I was so wrong. Gameplay is fantastic, full of little details...

I noticed after race ends, I was on my M6 GT3 and noticed an Aston Martin GT3 flashing turn signals (hazards). I tried to find some information about this but I couldn't find so I'm creating this topic. Then I noticed on HUD left and right signals. Did you notice too?
Then I earned Aston Martin GT3 and when I finished the race, same thing happened, my car automatically flashed hazards.

Do you think we will be able to use it on race?
It would give an amazing gameplay, full of little details. Hope they implement it.

At first when I launched the beta I had hazzard lights assigned to the middle of the touchpad on controller. And they were working fine. But after I tried to delete my game save (to get new start cars which didn't work) there is no longer option to assign the hazzard lights to the center of touchpad.

That sounds great Gr4ndy! I hope they bring back that feature.

sems4arsenal, I think it could be useful in a legit clean lobby. For example, exit out of the pit, after crashing when entering tarmac you could use it to say you are going in. It might be a very dynamic race if people know how to use it. I'm sure that on a match with good people, everyone will know how to use it. Imagine you see a crash up in front and people are hard braking, you could easily assing hazards. Imagine you crashed and you have to go to pit, car is slow and have some kind of mechanical failure. Turn hazards on and everybody will know you have some kind of a problem and that's why you are at very low speed :) Sounds great to me.

Since we no longer have horns to audibly signal to other drivers, having controllable hazard lights are the next step. A potential problem is that the hood camera still doesn't have a rear view mirror when looking forward.

I'd like to have it but can't see myself using it. There is only so many buttons you could use.
And a lot of those buttons aren't bound to anything. ;)

@SPEEDDRV It will also be useful in multi-class racing, to allow safe overtaking of faster cars.
This. This is basically what I said when some of the guys here laughed at me and posted that Simpsons gif of Bart blinking left and going right. Who's laughing now? ;)

That's what the beta forum / bug tracker is for! If enough people report the lack of rear view mirror and discuss it in the beta forum I bet they'd listen. This is such a small detail that is so easy to implement. I'd like that rear view mirror too. I never race with hood cam because of the lack of it.

Exacly guys, that's what I think too. There is another way we could use blinkers. Imagine you unfortunately hit someone on the rear bumper for example. You could just say "sorry" by turning hazards on one or two times. Yesterday I hit a guy because he stopped way too soon. I was braking hard to avoid but still hit him. I wanted to say "sorry bud, I should have avoid you". But I couldn't because there is no interaction with other people on track. No more horn like @Dan said.
@syntex123, people laugh when something new is added. It is normal on our society, unfortunately. I'm always open to new ideas and innovation. People usually prefer to make a laugh because it's easier to do it, instead of thinking on something new.

Cool idea, but just turning on hazard wont avoid faster ones hitting you. Optimal function of hazard light would be when turning on, reduce throttle to 50 percent and instantly make car "transparent".
Just imagine 30 cars in a row in Hatzenbach or Fuchsröhre. Just turning hazard on would cause a chain reaction where all the competitors crach into each others.

Here's the answer:
The hazard lights work automatically in online.
Once a race has finished hazard lights will start flashing as your player is auto driving while waiting other players to finish (result screen).
You can also switch hazard lights kinda manual when you are in a qualification online, warm-up or an active online race by pressing "options" button (pause).
Obviously, because you are unable to pause an online race, your player keeps driving in auto-drive and puts on the hazard lights.

Pausing your game while in an online race will result in a disqualification after a period of time and you will get a message saying that you have been disqualified for ignoring penalties.
