HD and Spec III

Maybe this thread is doomed to obscurity, but I couldn't find any clear cut answers in the search function.

My question is how do I get a hold of both items in question. I dont see GT HD on my PSN store, and after a quick online search it doesnt seem to be available to buy. I dont even know what it is if I'm honest.

And I've read about there being more cars in Prologue Spec III, but when I launch the game whilst online I never get an option to update. Is it only available if I buy a newer prologue, enter a code on the store maybe?

Help :)


edit: I just found the GT HD sub forum, seems I havent got a hope! Unless some kind soul can share it with me? (Spec III Q still stands though)

GTHD was available free as a demo at PS store the last I knew.

You have spec III Prologue already if you are currently running the WRS.
 
Oh really? Do you know this because I wouldn't be able to participate in certain events had I not already spec'd up? As in certain cars, tracks or events wouldnt be available otherwise. I wasnt aware it did anything except introduce a couple more cars. Speaking of more cars, do you know which they are exactly?
 
Yes the spec III is the current GTP Registry format, which the WRS is part of.
You would be asked to download the current spec before using the game online, as spec II wouldn't work online.

The cars I forget, but I think the Citroen GT and the Ferrari California were a couple.

I've only done it once and I don't remember the specifics other than that there was someting in one of the drop down menus somewhere that allowed me to close a thread. I'm sure a more knowlegeable member can help here though :)

I believe you can only do this with a premium account?
 
So if I buy the non-spec III version of the game, is it just an pdate that takes it to Spec III? Only asking because I have the option of buying either on Play.com and I think Spec III is more expensive.

Yeah, its a free update, if you bought the SpecIII edition then you wouldn't have to download the update.
