i've recently bought a 'hdd media player' off good old ebay......
it came with a 40gig 'laptop' hdd, which is split into 2 partitions, one 32gig, one 8gig......
i want to get rid of these partitions and have just one 40gig drive.....
i have partition magic 8, which pops up with an error about the drive having different types of partitions to what it can handle....
do different partitioning programs have different 'types' of partitions?
when i view the disk in pm8, it just shows it as one single drive, and labels it as being bad
i've tried formatting [both ntsc and fat32], error checks, etc......but with no luck.....
it is knackered? am i going to have to get angry?
