Only thing I can think of is Linkin Park.

Optimus Rhyme is also a hip hop group with a live band, but they are more funk than nu-metal rock and there's no screaming.

Nooooooo............ I literally hate Linkin Park's new stuff. Meteora was alright but not quite what I'm looking for. I'll check out Optimus Rhyme and see what their like. :)

It is kinda hard to say for sure what genre they are, some songs sound like Rage Against the Machine, some are more hip hop, some sound a bit like Linkin Park.
They are alright I suppose yeah, I have their Insomnia album. ♫

I like them in medium doses. Can't really listen to them like I can other bands, but once I get into them a little bit they are all I listen to for about a week.

I don't understand the Linkin Park comment, a few songs maybe.....

They are technically a Nu-Metal group. When I lived in Big Bear California I was close with a girl named Sarah. The Guitarist, or Bassist, is her cousin. I never saw them live (nor would I really want to), but she sure did.

Not my type of thing at all. I have an aversion to Nu-Metal.

;)

I'd call them Rap metal... I like a few songs by them, my only issue is the excessive amount of F-words in the music and sometimes it sounds too noisy, but that's just me getting older, I guess. If you like them, check out Insane Clown Posse and Pleymo 👍

Metal mixed with Rap/Hip Hop is Nu-Metal. It's these two base elements that make up the foundation of the genre. Hed, Korn, Linkin Park, and yes even the abysmal Insane Clown Posse:yuck:... They all have their differences, but they all still fall under the Nu-Metal genre.

;)

I would classify as Nu Metal other bands that don't mix hip-hop into their style, hence my apparent confusion within the genre. Then again, I'm weird.

Including "Hip-Hop Style" into Metal doesn't always include adding rap lyrics. Some groups add Hip-Hop elements in a much more subtle way. Such as adding a DJ to add a touch of scratch and/or Hip-Hop beat structure, or even a drummer just laying down some Hip-Hop based timing changes/structural elements.

It's quite a broad-reaching genre, really. However, if the group in question does not include at least some elements of Hip-Hop/Metal, they are not technically "Nu-Metal".

That sucks. I would've thought Incubus and/or Slipknot were Nu-Metal

Old Incubus can very easily be attributed to "Nu-Metal". Their newer stuff has kept some of the Hip-Hop elements (which they've always had, i.e thanks in part to their DJ), but has lost most if not all of the "Metal" elements. In comparison, Slipknot is actually a perfect example of a "Nu-Metal" group. Very strong Metal and Hip-Hop elements. Slipknot even adds Rap based lyric structure to a lot of their songs, on top of having obvious Hip-Hop based beats/scratch.
