Just like to introduce myself to the users of this wonderful GTP Universe.
I follow the site and forums for about 2 years. Quitly, without ever feel the urge to register myself. I´m more the quiet guy, you know?
I´m 30 years old, playing GT since Part 1 and I still enjoy to buy a car and just take it for a ride around a track. That was what got me hooked to the GT Series.
Though, I must admit, I missed GT4. It was released during my .... wild times ... been more into girls than jiggling a joypad in those days. But after i´ve finally choosen the one woman to stay with, i´ve become lazy again and so whats more relaxing and enjoyable the video games. So a PS3 and a copy of GTProlog found their way in my .... well should say ... our living room.
GTProlog was nice, only the Download of Spec II and SpecIII update took 3 days. Sadly it was the first thing i had to do after I insert the Disc.
"Well, PD keeps you waiting"
But yeah, GTProlog brought back that feel of taking a car for a spin. Watch the replay, enjoy the details in car animation. It was nice.
I was looking forward for GT5.
I followed all the whole hype in the web.
The dramatic first reports by amar here on GTP.
I read all those discussion about quality of GT5.
The big let downs felt by some, the pure awesomeness others see.
My verdict?
I love it. Somehow I feel like a child. In GT5 I can take my car on a ride into the dusk night or the dawn day. I can drive through the Green Hell, some classic GT Tracks. And I can do this with, from my point of view, a great variety of cars. I can enjoy replays with never seen details and can take some pictures.
And I can take it online. Haven´t barely done it yet.Mostly for a spin on SPA. But I´m an average clean racer. Surely not the fastest but playful.
Not so easy to find good lobby for a guy like me. It´s always kids crashing or pro lapping me in a 5 round race
. So if you´re like me, feel free to add me. Due to my studies, part time work and my beloved wife my racing time is small and differs from week to week.
So this is me, HypocriteCGN 30 from Germany.
Sorry if my English in some passages may hurt your brain. I´m always thankful for useful advice in the english language. Feel free to correct me nicely. Thanks, it will help my studies.
BTW: Thanks to everyone who made me laugh or jiggle during the time I follow GTP.
Oh, and thanks Jordan for building this up and put it in place.
