Hello everybody my name is Deadmanfall. But everybody just calls me Bobby. I am a huge racing fan started with the Need For Speed series and just got into racing simulation with Shift 2 Unleashed and today I picked up a copy of Gran Turismo 5 XL edition. My favorite thing to do is drift and would really love some pointers on how to in this game and what track to practice on. Please feel free to add me on PSN my name is Deadmanfall I would really love to make some friends to drift with. Thank you

Welcome to the forums! 👍 quick heads up read up on the rules and guidelines then re-read them as most people here are quick to display their arrogance to people.

You should have a quick glance through all the stickied threads at the top of the forum. I think you'll find most question you have about "how do I drift in this game" will be answered in one or more of those threads.

Always remember that the thing that will get you farthest, both in GT5 drifting and on the GTP forums, is keeping a positive attitude.

Welcome to GT5...if you like cars, you're in for a treat...welcome to GTP, and welcome to the drift forums :D (the best forum on GTP :sly:)

Hello and welcome to the forums! I'm Just going to be straight to the point here. In my opinon Drifting is quite difficult no matter what car you have or how you tune it. since you came from the need for speed series, drifting in that game is much different than in GT5. in this game it's harder to control it unless you kn ow the car. now this is just my opinon so i might be way wrong, however when i started out drifting, i started in races. just drift around corners during a race. it helped me practice and become a better driver, then it became less awkward and frustrating to drift for real.
I'm not a pro by any strech of the imaganation, the car i would recommend you start with is the HKS Hyper Genki Silvia S15. It's a very easy car to learn on and it's my favourite car to drift because it's preset.
