Hello. I'm useless at GT. Perhaps you can help me.

Hi, i'm Luke and from Wales. I have two GT games, them being GT1 and GT4. Dunno why I didn't buy the other two.

I'm pretty useless at the game, as I only realized you could make cars better by tuning them the other day (don't judge me, or do).

Out of GT I like music, and stand-up comedy. And that's pretty much it.

So, be nice to me.

I was a noob once, and I'm still a little bit noob, but who cares? GTP is more than just a Gran Turismo forum, it's a true and lively community.

Welcome.

Welcome to GTP!

Whether you are useless at GT or not, it can still be an incredibly enjoyable game - many people devote most of their time in the game to areas other than honing their raw speed... there's Photomode (see our galleries!), endurance racing, "A-Spec" optimising (making races are hard as possible for yourself), "B-Spec" mode (making races as easy as possible for yourself), "Smallhorses" mode (specialising in cars with low horse power, as our moderator Smallhorses does, hence the name!), drifting and tuning (see our forums on those!), car collecting (ask my mate Tim about that!), LAN-ing (see the Local Gatherings section in the Rumble Strip) and just plain driving pleasure (which every GT player enjoys from time to time) - and plenty more besides...

The point of the game need not be being any good at it, but simply enjoying it. OK, there is also the small matter of waiting for the next installment, which unfortunately we are all experts at :( :D

Hello. I'm useless at GT.

Excellent! Come to the next one of these, please.

Please?

I'll buy you a car!

Seriously though, the whole rubbish-at-Gran-Turismo thing is pretty much a non-issue. This is such a comfy little website that I'd say at least 40% of the regular posters in the off-topic areas stopped seriously playing GT about 4 years ago. I know I did. But anyway welcome and all that :)

Keep playing and you'll get better. I did... a little bit. :P
