Hello,
Been looking a long time for forums like these for GT. Now to attempt to prove that I read...
How did you find GTPlanet? Google.com is the answer for just about everything!
Where are you from? Texas, USA ... just outside the Dallas/Ft Worth area
When did you start playing the Gran Turismo games? I really don't recall a date, but I've been playing since the original GT on PS. I have to admit, I didn't really get into it until GT2.
Do you play with a steering wheel? No, I tried in the earlier version with the PS2 but I could never keep the wheel from sliding off my lap, or the pedals from moving under my feet. A few bad experiences like that and I've just stuck to a controller since.
What other games do you enjoy? Played online MMOs a bit, various PS2, PC, and XBox 360 games, just recently purchased my PS3 in hopes of GT5 coming out in a timely manner.![Grumpy :grumpy: :grumpy:](/wp-content/themes/gtp16/images/smilies/grumpy.svg?v=3)
What are you most looking forward to doing in the community, now that you're a part of this site? The transfer of knowledge and enthusiasm for the whole GT series.
Quick question, I've been eye-balling almost daily the collector's edition from Wal-mart recently (I prefer the Honda NSX) waiting for the Nov.2nd release 👎 but have been very hesitant to follow through with the purchase due to the collector's edition being listed as a 'Wii' game. Obviously GT5 is PS3 only, but I just felt kinda funny dropping $99 on a game where I couldn't verify they were actually selling it.
However, this morning actually, I found another item which is correctly labeled PS3 but is just $89 for the collector's edition. Only catch here is, it doesn't promise release date arrival like the 'Wii' version. Has anyone purchased this from Wal-mart or know where I can find validation of not having to wait an addition week for standard shipping?
I apologize, that wasn't a quick question like I intended. And my apologies that this probably isn't the correct forum for such questions.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
P.S. I can provide links to the above items if needed. Thanks again!
