I would like to say to anyone that reads this that I am truly excited to join this group. Just a little about myself I have been racing since 1974 starting with racing motorcycles. I raced in everything thing that I could that was motorcycle anything from scrambles, motocross, short track, hair scrambles, enduro, road racing, and drag racing. I was on to a factory ride until that last big bit out. I have raced against some of the fastest motocross racers in the world like Danny ‘MAGOO’ Chandler, Darrel Schultz, Donnie Cantilupie, Danny Turnner. These are just a few of the class acts that I am proud to call friends.
Then I started building race cars and racing SCCA in No. Cal. With my 86 IROC camaro only to find out that my desires weren’t enough I needed wheel barrels of money and that kind of racing is cheep. So I concentrated on building race cars and spending someone else’s money. After we literaly changed the face of the pro stock class at Placerville by coming out of nowhere and dominating that class as I was the setup man for making adjustments and staying ahead of the changing track conditions to always be one step of the compo my driver’s wife said that he couldn’t do it anymore. So I started my racing adventure at Roseville in the mini stock class and was always in the top 10 finishing the getting Rookie of the year. Over the next 5 yrs I was able to keep the finances together racing every other season and kept finishing 7th in final standings. They finally abolished the class because the track went to NASCAR as the sanctioning bodie and NASCAR doesn’t recognize mini-stocks ( anyone want to buy a race car, LOL).
Now I am a dad w/ a 12yo son who is an enthusiast, and my nights are filled with sim racing by myself and longing to get back behind the wheel again. With no pacification from GT5 and only dreaming of what will be I finished 830 in the GT5 time trial, I have a lot to still learn about road racing and finding those bump and run dudes out there is like food for a starving man. Setting them for the preverbal punt is something that they generally never forget, payback is a bitch, LOL. Driving clean is driving fast and anyone who doesn’t know that generally find them selves picking up the rear.
I could keep going for hours but this is a good place to leave it and think of my next thread thnakzzzzzzzzzzzz………………….

Welcome Lefty, I've grown up with dirt bikes all my life I recognize all of the motocross racers you mentioned and have seen everyone at Hangtown. I've never been with out a dirt bike or road bike since I was 15. At this present time I've given up my dirt bikes and riding nothing but street & track.

Welcome to the forum and long as your a clean driver and use pro mode here's a good table for times to be competitive in league..

Welcome aboard lefty, I love to see the league grow with good quality racers, it only makes us all better. Ricky gave you some good times as a gauge, and if you follow him around long enough you will get better. It's all about having fun and a little trash talking is always welcome. I've never road race cars or bikes, although I do plan on getting in a track day this year on my zx14, no racing dreams just want to get better with it. I'm also thinking about picking up a miata and doing some autocross here locally. But for now I am a living room racer and I'm loving it.
