About me. I was born in Detroit, Michigan USA. I grew up there and in the neighboring Irish Hills area, home of Michigan Internation Speedway. I became a NASCAR fan at around the age of 7 and have never looked back. I eat, sleep, and breath NASCAR. It is my passion and its drivers my heros. I recently became disabled due to being involved in an auto accident with a drunk driver. It has been a long road to recovery, but I'm making progress. Since I'm no longer able to work, I have focused my attention to the one thing I can do...virtual racing. It is my dream to become the best and to make the GT Academy and hopefully, depending on how my physical rehab goes, be able to compete. That is my goal and will not stop at anything less. A year ago they told me I would probably never walk again. I have now proven them wrong. Never tell me never.

You ain't a new member

Should it matter?

But honestly sad to hear of your accident but nice to see you have a goal, and with enough practice and hoping rehab goes well you could very well make it.

Calm , I only noticed the accident part now :indiff:

Good Luck :)

I wasn't aware you had to be a new member to post here. I just never got around to introduce myself or give a little about me when I first joined. I really didn't think it mattered.

Auto accidents suck. Since your a nascar fan as I "used" to be when I lived in california now its gotten a bit too strict as far as regulations go. I saw Earnhardt at sears point in 2000 in the flesh it was awesome. Sucks he died but at the same time it was his stubbornness that caused it with him not using the hans device and all. Anyways, enjoy the rest of your stay on GTP!

Really hope your physical rehab goes brilliantly mate. :)
It really ain't right that someone like you (someone who loves driving/cars so much) gets 'disabled' by someone ignorant fool who drink drives. :irked:

I hope you get into GT Academy, you deserve it.

And you are very right to live by "never say never". 👍

Thanks guys for all the kind words, really appreciate it. And yea, it sucks and all, but I just see it as just another challenge to beat. I have been super competitive my whole life and I just see this as another competition to beat. Peace and thanks again for the well wishes.
