Just thought I'd say hi before I start posting elsewhere on the site.

I've been playing GT games since the first incarnation on the PS1. Spent many many hours playing GT2, probably more than all the others combined, but I'm now loving GT5. At first I was a little disappointed, as sticking with "standard" cars seemed a bit lazy imo (but I won't get into that here).

I picked up GT5 about 18months ago, after wanting a change from the Forza franchise (I'm not a fan-boy of either series btw, I enjoy both). I played quite a bit of A-Spec mode, but soon tired of the way the races are set up (basically overtaking challenges, but I won't get into that here either). I jumped online, and quickly found a sound group of guys, and enjoyed some of the best online races I've ever had. Unfortunately, my circumstances changed about 12months ago, and that was the last time I even switched the PS3 on!

I'm now back on GT5 (all be it without my wheel), and I'd actually forgotten what a great game it is. I spent about 4hours last night just buying all sorts of car from the UCD! Fun times! lol...

Anyway, hopefully I'll see some of you on the track soon. If anyone wants to add me and invite to clean, organised races, that would be great. I don't have a mic atm, but I'll try and hunt it out (or buy a new one).

EDIT: Just read the "read this first" sticky! lol... So here's the questions answered;

How did you find GTPlanet?

Google I think... I registered a while back, then forgot my PW!

Where are you from?

Newcastle, England

When did you start playing the Gran Turismo games?

GT1 on PS1

Do you play with a steering wheel?

Not at the minute (nowhere to set it up). I use a Logitech DFGT

What other games do you enjoy?

Loads... Forza (4 and Horizon), Fifa13, Skyrim, Sleeping Dogs, Battlefield 3 among others. I like anything with a good story, or anything I can get my teeth into. As well as obviously driving games :)

What are you most looking forward to doing in the community, now that you're a part of this site?

Probably find people to race with online once I get my wheel setup sorted again. Also might dabble in the marketplace and photo mode sections eventually. I do like taking snaps, and I'm always changing the paints on my cars/rims (mostly blacks and whites), so might need to trade for some chips :)
