That helmet cam is good and all, but more often than not it creates a false sense of swerving, causing me to make frequent mistakes. Standard cockpit cam is my 'competitive' view of choice :)

I prefer it. its awesome. Lately I change between cams and often end up choosing helmet cam.

I choose it simply because of the atmosphere. Also its not that hard to adapt to it

i am using cockpit cam at the moment. but then that is my comfort zone. i do think the helmet cam is a great addition. i see it as another challenge for us in the game and a challenge that could be very rewarding after plenty of practice :)

I use nothing but helmet cam. So Rommie, what do you use then to achieve your magnificent hotlap times? Hood cam?

I find that the helmet cam helps me on tracks I don't know very well - the look to corner is my tip :) Once I have the corner entries down, I don't notice the head turn as I am beating it to the punch.
I think the cockpit cams in S2U are brilliant - I don't get that claustrophobic feeling I get in other racing games (PC and console).

Other than the cockpit views, can a rearview mirror be turned on for any of the exterior views? I drive mostly with helmet cam but when trying hood cam I don't see an option to turn on a rearview mirror.
I see a problem if racers are using exterior views for online racing. I want to be aware of what is behind me and if I am approaching a slower car I want that racer to give me a racing line - impossible if unaware of what is behind. Offline it's also important but my driving line mistakes are only effecting the AI drivers.

I'm using the cockpit cam. Would use the helmet cam is the FOV was more like cockpit cam. I.e. cockpit cam with (adjustable...) helmet cam dynamics would've been the ideal view for me.

cockpit always for every race and also for time attack for autolog.
I would shift to helmet cam only if they implement head tracking with pseye.
