I am going through the game to see how little mulah I can spend. So far at 69% with only buying the initial car. But now I am stuck. So I would like to know what car you used for the following races and how much did it cost (including any tuning)

National A - Clubman Kart Cup 100
National A - Electric Circuits
International B - GT Kart Championship 125
International B - Dirt Trials
International B - Historic Racing Car Cup
International A - Dream Car Championship
International A - GT Kart Championship 125 Shifter
International A - 550 PP World Touring Car Championship
International A - 600 PP World Touring Car Championship
International A - Super GT500 Championship
International A - Group GT3 Series
International A - Gran Turismo Nascar Cup (I think I can do this one with the all stars prize from Nat B - The Jeff Gordon one)
International A - Like the Wind
International A - GT World Championship

Your responses are highly appreciated.

For the kart cups you just use the corresponding karts - all around 10k
For like the wind I used the huayra anniversary edition with about 50k of upgrades

Ok, i'll do my best for ya buddy. I like your idea a lot and hope this helps 👍

National A - Clubman Kart Cup 100
International B - GT Kart Championship 125
International A - GT Kart Championship 125 Shifter
- You'll need to buy the Kart 100, 125 & Shifter. Which is admittedly annoying

National A - Electric Circuits
- A prize car you'll receive for super license can do this one

International B - Dirt Trials
-Either the TME Evo or Lancia Delta will do the job here. You'll need to shell out for dirt tyres, but they might not need any more tuning than that.

International B - Historic Racing Car Cup
-A car you win from Goodwood series #3 should get you through this. Could be too slow, in which case prepare tobite the bullet and shell out a lot of CR.

International A - Gran Turismo Nascar Cup
International A - Dream Car Championship
International A - 550 PP World Touring Car Championship
International A - 600 PP World Touring Car Championship
International A - Super GT500 Championship
International A - Group GT3 Series
- All of these can (very strangely) be entered in a NASCAR. You get Gordon's for half stars in IA, so if you can get to that stage without it you're laughing.

International A - Like the Wind
Probably possible with the NASCAR, or the Goodwood series #5 prize car. Maybe stock or certainly with turbo and/or engine tuning.

International A - Gran Turismo
Championship
- NASCAR should be able to do this one too. If not than the prize from all golds in IB should knock it out without more than a turbo.

I tried to avoid spoiling the game by telling you what prizes you have coming. Best of luck to you Stingy McSlowly :)

Thanks for the replies. I have some food for thought. I like the idea of using the nascar but I am 20 odd starts short of that prize with no more races that I can do. ...

Remember that you also have the one make races you need to do, and many of them require cars you have to buy, so you might as well just buy all of them you need, and use them in the races you need to get done

you don't get stars for those. did you try to use the red bull x2014 car yet?

That is true, but to "complete" the game, those are part of the experience

And yes, I have completed the x2014j championship, and I used it for the brands hatch endurance

Have you done OIL changes for any of your current cars?
I've seen your threads and saw you had close loses, so maybe the few extra HP/PP could make the difference.

I tried in the dream car championship. Does not have enough top speed so at LaSarthe you just get spanked, as in 30 seconds spanked. I would have finished first at the ring if not because the AI drove me off the track in the second to last corner. But I would have still finished second in the championship (by 10 points thanks to 2nd at motegi and 4th at Lasarthe)

I haven't done any oil changes. Maybe it would make a difference. I will keep it in mind.

I was 20 stars short of half way with no races left to run so I had to be a bit creative. Basically run races I knew I could not win but I could get 2 stars for. Took a while but finally got the Nascar Car

In any race where the Rocket is eligible, use the Rocket.

Some cars when new an oil change can jump the HP by a very large amount. It is definitely the cheapest upgrade for any car. For example a Nascar new then placed at 70% limiter for the event has under 600HP, 594 or something in the 590s to start with and then an oil change takes it to 624HP after about 300 miles or so the power will start to drop and will need another oil change to get the power back

The Mercedes VGT can win the like the wind events

I think you would need to upgrade it, not sure how much I just threw some parts on it and took it to the SSX race to see what it would do, 283 MPH without drafting or NOS 305 with NOS.

I doubt that it would be fast enough to beat the Veyron without adding a little power and tweaking the gears at least

For the Historic Racing Car Cup, unfortunately you'll most likely have to shell out money for it. I managed to scrape a win on Monaco with the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe Anniversary Edition (I think that's the name) by shortening the gears quite a lot, and even then I only won by 0.02 seconds in the end. On the other two tracks the Toyota 7 and, to a lesser extent, the Chaparrals are just untouchable. Fortunately, the Toyota 7 is fairly cheap for a big race car at 1.5 mill, but it's still a fair amount to spend.

I think it tops at 160mph drafting so it would definitely need some mods to get to 283MPH
