Can anyone give me any clues on how to get gold on this challenge?
I just can't get close and I'm not total crap either I've currently only got 8 silvers and 0 bronzes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. A video would be even better. Thanks in advance.

Could you describe in a few words which one it is? I don't have my PSP here right now, but I might still be able to help you.

Of course - it's the one in New York with the 1969 Chevy Corevette Stingray that drives like a barge. You have to over take a white Mustang, then a Blue Plymouth something and then there's a Yellow and Black Dodge Charger. It's so frustrating. I've watched the demo, but even that only gets second place. I'm not able to get anywhere close enough to the blue car by the time I get to the double left hander. Any tips for the section before that?

Okay, thank you!

The very key in New York is: brake on time, then accelerate early. Especially with such a "soft" car, try to not extend the acceleration zones as far as it'll go - the brakes are just too weak for that. Instead, brake on time, then try to get the steering right for the bend and floor the car as early as possible, ideally before you hit the apex of every turn.

If I remember correctly, after some practice I got the white Mustang in or just after the 1st right-hander, the blue Plymouth after the double-left and the Charger braking into the circle with the above technique.

Getting the speed out of the bends and onto the straights is the key to victory. Don't worry if you think you braked a tad too early. Get the car aligned properly for the bend, then carry all the speed through it.

Ok, slower in, faster out....gotcha. I'll give it a shot. Touch touch challenge. But its the last silver on the first page - then only 7 more to go.Thanks for the advice. :)

You're welcome! Case closed then. 👍
