Help: G27 how to change Shiftknob and leather beneath it.

Hi,

I want to change my shiftknob and the leather beneath of the knob of my G27.
Is this easy to do ? Like example if i buy this knob:

Is it easy to install or totally not ? The leather collar is much larger but maybe i can cut it tiny, or is there a way to change the small steel knobsteel of my gearbox to an larger steel pipe??

Im totally new to modding the g27 wheel, and this is the first thing i want to change.
I also want to change the feeling and sound when i shift because it feels like a toy, i have seen some easy trick to make it more solid to put a piece of something in the gear lanes, but i cant find it anymore.

Please help!

The knob is easy as pie, just look up a youtube video, I think there is one from Ricmotech, showing how to do it.

I do not recommend the shifter boot. I tried it on my TH8RS, but the material is too stiff. It doesn't 'fold' well and it sometimes it blocks you from shifting (it gets stuck in the internals).

but can you remove the fake original leather on the g27 easy ? or not at all?
If i dont like it what i want to try i dont want to have a damaged shift knob leather thing.
So if not succeed i want to restore my original shift knob and leather.

No idea, I own a TH8RS, not a G27.

Remove screws, take off boot?

Although unless you plan to actually run without it or make a new one, it's not really worth doing.
