HELP!!!!! how do I use logitech g27 on gt5

Its so hard to control especailly turning/drifting with high speed compare to my controller where its easy. I had this problem with the logitech DFGT and now this with the logitech g27 I just don't get how to use it.

Isn't the logitech suppose to have 7 gears? 6 gears and 1 reverse gear. I only have 6 gears on my logitech g27 or I don't know how to use.

I know some guys do it, but I gave up on trying to drift with my DFGT and G27. Maybe my reaction speeds are too slow or I'm not good enough to anticpate what's going to happen, but I have for more success drifting with the controller compared to either wheel.

So you want some help learning on how to drift with the G27?

If so I wouldn't mind helping you.

It does get aggravating at first. It takes a long time to get really even decent at it.

If it is drifting. I will have no problem helping you. Let me know.

As for the OP, just practice, like everybody else who owns a wheel.

Wheel drifting takes time and practice. There are no shortcuts or tricks involved, just practice,practice and more practice.

Yes it does. Just step on the clutch pedal, and then push down on the gear stick, and then move it to the far right and down.

Oh hahaha. A lot of people get confused where the reverse gear is on the G27.

Ok the reverse gear is when you push the shift knob down and while doing that put it into 6th.

But if you would like some help learning the basics. Let me know

Ok.

Put your shifter in the neutral position. Now put your palm on top on top of the shift knob. Now push the knob downward. Do you feel the knob physically going down into the shifter housing itself? If you are pushing it down into the shifter housing and while pushing it down put it into 6th gear. That is reverse.

Reverse doesn't work on the shifter unless you have the clutch pedal activated. Anytime else, you must use the triangle button.

To the OP: Hope you finally get used to the Logitech as it is a very good wheel for its money. I used that wheel forever and it was a very dependable wheel that I got years of enjoyment from. Once you get used to it, I think you will also find it to be a very good wheel.

I don't do any drifting myself, but there are alot of good drifters out there from what I've seen and I'm sure one of them would be more than willing to help you out, including Lock2Lock as he has offered. Don't expect miracles tho, because as been said before and as with anything else, it just takes practice. So, if I were you, I would take up Lock on his offer to help you and go from there. This is a serious question here and I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but do those things actually work as in improving steering and such? I ask because I used to help my Uncle on his farm and all of his tractors had those on them. I tried using them but could never get used to them or understand the reasoning behind them so I always drove his tractors without them. Matter of fact, I remember them just being in my way and getting pretty annoyed with them. Just a serious, curious question, thats all.

They were actually developed by moonshine runners to help steer those pre powersteering cars faster then the police... They were outlawed as soon as the police figured it out. At least that is what my father told me when I was but a wee lad. LOL

I think it might just tear up the leather. But if you do put a suicide knob on your wheel. Try it at 10 FFB hahaha. Just kidding it would probably rip your hand off
