So i'm gonna get a new phone tomorrow and i have a choice between an android by HTC or a Nokia Phone

So Both are touchscreen and both can be obtained at the same price i'm asking for your advice because my big brother has an android phone made by Samsung but it isn't the galaxy nexus and i can tell that it kinda sucks to use, for me. I don't know what you guys think about android because some apps there don't work for certain phones meanwhile for the Nokia i don't know what it uses it doesn't use Android or IOS it looks like boxes and it's touchscreen i don't know what to pick i have to know by tomorrow.

EDIT*
The Nokia Phone is = Nokia Lumia 710
The Android Phone is = I don't know but operates on Android

Pick the Galaxy Nexus. Windows 7 phones(That Lumia 710) won't have real support since Microsoft is coming out with Windows 8 phones. Plus it does not support multitasking. The Nexus is an nice phone for the price(1.2GHz dual core cpu) and will do everything on the Android market.

Oh my bad it actually isn't the Nexus phone i was gonna mention that but anyway what's better if it's not the nexus still the HTC?

Good to know, since there's a crapton of Android phones that don't run on Android.

I'm picking at you of course.

By that do you mean fakes? because the one i'm buying from is an authorized seller and are not allowed to sell fakes and my brother's phone is original but sucks

I would take the one running on android, sure some apps dont work on some phones but most can be found for free without rooting your phone or anything so if it dont work, just delete them, no big arm.

And I believe Android is the best operating system, the iOS (iphone) is good also but the rest are a bit behind from what I could read when I got my android phone.

I would go with the HTC but I never liked any Nokia I had so I'm a little biased. The Nokia OS is Symbian I think or something like that.

In term of application, the two biggest market are Android and iOS definitely so yeah. Another reason to grab the HTC for me. And the android market is growing bigger and bigger each month.

Got a HTC for my work phone and not really a big fan. My own phone is a Samsung Galaxy S2, which I would strongly recommend, runs Ice Cream Sandwich as the OS and with a 32gig Micro-SD has more than enough storage space. Nice UI and very reliable.

The S3 is quad core but in my opinion not worth the premium over the S2.

Ok thanks for your detailed advice i was planning on getting the nokia because it the GUI looks epic and one last thing if i choose the nokia does it have apps or nothing at all?

Hmm, Lumia vs. random HTC phone? Well it depends on what HTC we're talking about. If it's part of the One series, as in a One X or a One S, I would take that over the Lumia. They're very powerful devices. But if it's a low-end HTC, I'd take the Lumia because budget HTC phones can be pretty awful. Windows Phone as an OS is much better suited to lower specced hardware than Android.

Yeah the Nokia do have apps no worry about that, just a shorter range of them that's all. Now if you use your phone mostly for calling/messaging, choose whichever you like the most, however if you like to have a wide range of application to choose from you might want to go for the android powered one.

Like glassjaw said tho, not all HTC will be better. I can't comment on model because I have no clue about HTC phone. So I would follow his advice here.

Yes but you can't use more than one app at a time(meaning one app won't run in the background while you choose to go into another app). So it hinders the phone's abilities. My advice: Avoid any Windows 7 phones like the plague.

I thought I made it pretty freaking obvious that I was being sarcastic. Did you even notice the text at the bottom?

What kind of Android phone would come without Android? That was my point.

And what exactly is a "fake" phone?

I didn't and without it, it certainly comes across as rather snide.

Between a Nokia and a random HTC, I think you'll be much happier with the HTC. Opened up to an entire carriers phones and I can't say I'd opt for the HTC, but that's because I'm quite pleased with my RAZR. More so than my wife's 4S, anyway.

Yes. But he somehow quoted me and still missed it, which is a bit hard for me to understand.

I actually didn't see it it was camouflaged! At closer inspection i saw it just now !

They brought that in with the Windows Phone Mango update a year or so ago I think. But yeah as a former WP phone owner...don't bother with them. So many people have reported bricked phones when trying to update them through Zune, including myself. My HTC HD7 was pretty much like the Alfa Romeo of phones: excellent when it was working, but a complete pain in the arse every time it wasn't, which was much more frequent. I've now got a Samsung Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean and it's a much, much better prospect. Quicker, more functionality, more stable operating system and most importantly: NO ZUNE!
