When I finally got this car in my garage I was full of high belief that this will be one of the best cars to race with in the game. It was until I check the performance; 655pp and a max power output of 604hp!?!

I was like WTF, that low!?! But seeing that this is for the LMP1 class surely it has potential to win the 24-minutes of Le Mans right? Hell no was I proven wrong.

As the race commenced, it was like the other cars are hitting over 380km/h while the GT-R LM NISMO hits at 342km/h at most on the Mulsanne Straight. No matter what I do I always ended up no more than 5th at the end and in the last few races ran out of fuel when I thought I got enough to last the remaining leg.

The Bentley is always at the front till the end and it'll ALWAYS ram into me every time whenever I got in front of it and it happened at the Mulsanne of all places. At times it'd be the old Peugeot.

I'm really gonna ditch this car but I still hope I can one day beat that race with it. I've kinda given up trying to beat it with the Deltawing.

Anyone else have won the 24-minutes of Le Mans with this car yet? All pointers are welcomed!

I'll try this out tomorrow and report back to you! The Nismo is definetly lacking in overall speed as seen in the 24 hours of Le Mans recentley. Although the Nismo is new and will be developed over time

I've tried it once and failed miserably. The front tyres simply died far too quickly and it required a lot of fuel saving to be able to manage a four-lap stint on a single tank of fuel. It did only hit 340 or so in the speed trap but the real-life counterpart did not hit that I believe in the real event itself due to not being able to run the hybrid system.

There are far better options for the 24 Minutes of Le Mans, that's for sure. The Tomahawk S did the trick for me with ease.

Improvements needed!

What it needs

MORE POWER - up to 750pp no less than 720pp and up to 800hp or more. The Peugeot 908 has about over 1000hp!!!!

FR LAYOUT - a given; FF is a BAD IDEA and I've no idea why they did it in the first place. Hard to turn for me.

NO MORE #23 - More like a bad number for the car now. It almost made a well-done fried chicken out of Jann Mardenborough; change it to another number!

BRING BACK THE OLD BOYS - Nissan R90C.

It would have 1250bhp if the hybrid worked. Performance points are a terrible way to judge performance anyway. Also, the 908 does not have over 1000bhp at all, in stock form anyway.

The whole purpose of the car was to try and do something different. It was set to be an AWD car until it failed to get the hybrid working properly. Yes it is hard to turn, but that's the nature of the car.

What is wrong with 23? It's a legendary number, and is associated with Nissan now.

Bringing back a car from a completely different era would be completely idiotic, as the car would not satisfy the current LMP1 specs.

Well, this isn't the best form I've seen the GTR in but it is only new and it easily made mince meat out of the AI in the 24 minutes of Le Mans despite burning more fuel then an american muscle car and eating it's own shoes. I made only 1 stop on lap 4 to change the tires and for 90 litres of fuel although when I did pull into the pits I had 1 litre left!
(No aids except ABS 1)

I knew I had done this in the GT-R LM Nismo so I gave it another go...

All aids off except ABS1 and RH tires:

And with SRF, ABS1 & RS tires:ill::yuck::

I found that it was vital to use one of the fast LMP cars to stick behind draft for the whole of laps 2 & 3 so that you maintain a higher top speed for longer and to save fuel as 1 lap costs around 26-28 liters. If you save a couple of liters, you can do 4 laps and stop only once. I refiled with 84 liters which allowed me to go flat out for the final 3 laps. And don't forget, most of the field pit at the end of Lap 6. Hope this helps:tup:

And visualise the car 'pulling' you with its front wheel drive rather than pushing from behind. The corners really are slow in - get car pointed righted - and then very early on the gas to pull you round/from the apex. The Porsche curves are fantastic - 3rd gear on entry and power round right into 4th, off the gas to straighten it up for the 1st left, full throttle, same again for the 2nd left, then brake into 3rd gear for the right hander which you 'hug like it's your grandma'!!! (Then I usually drop into 2nd for the final left and power on through.)

That's the bspec time for it with nothing other than PIH at start, currently 56th fastest of 92 cars i've put round the ring in the 650 b-spec

when i got it i was hoping for something special as the GTR's are average across the board but it sat right in the middle with them :(

Race begins! The Nissan GT-R LM NISMO ’15 packs a mediocre 604hp with the average Le Mans car in the race packing 700+hp or more, how far back will I be when it ends? The last few races ended in near-last place finishes and 6 out-of-gas retirements. How will this one turn out?

16:44
Overtook a Jaguar XJ13 ’66 at the Esses. 16th to 15th place now.

17:00
15th to 14th as the GT-R overtakes the Ford Mark IV Race Car ’67 at the Tertre Rogue.

17:06
Mulsanne Straight, hitting 340km/h upon hitting the first chicane. No car available to draft. Rain kicks in.

18:30
Drafting behind an AUDI R10 TDI ’06 after the Mulsanne.

18:55
Almost slip into a spin at the Indianapolis. Normally I’d have my Active Steering turned on but I forgot to turn it on. No turning back now.

19:44
Nothing much from Arnage and through Porsche Curves. Still 14th place.

20:07
Gunning for my second lap at this point. Ten cars enter the pits for tire change, launching me from 14th to 3rd in an instant. I’m still sticking with Racing Soft tires, to my surprise are still all 10 on all four wheels. Leading car, a Pescarolo C60 Hybride-Judd ‘05 has been on Intermediate tires at the start of the race.

21:55
Passed the Nissan R390 GT1 ’98 on the Straight as night falls approaching the Mulsanne.

23:12
Another scary slip that almost went into a spin at the Porsche curve. Luckily not a 360 spin.

23:30
The 1st placed Pescarolo C60 enters the pits!

23:53
The Nissan GT-R LM NISMO jumps to 1st!

00:00
Lap 3 and it’s all about luck at this point. Closest chaser was the R390 at 13.244 seconds.

01:45
Rain stops.

03:17
GT-R LM NISMO enters the pits after three laps and still sticking with RS tires and topping up a full tank of gas. Gap is 17.509 from a 2nd placed MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V ’89.

03:42
88C-V enters the pits. Then twelve other cars follow in as well!

04:16
GT-R leaves the pits.

06:00
The 2nd place C60 catches up to close the gap at 12.301 on the Mulsanne Straight. It was 19.480 at the Esses. The GT-R RS tires have begun to degrade on its front tires from 10 to 9.

07:10
Rain kicks in again.

07:18
The GT-R slips and slams into a wall at the Porsche Curves but doesn’t spin and recovers onto the tarmac.

19466043898_9aa9ce4046_h.jpg

07:50
The GT-R begins lap 5 in 1st place with a 10.293 second gap from C60 in 2nd place.

09:54
A chase ensures by the C60 through the Mulsanne Straight closing the gap to 6.057 seconds at the end of it.

11:29
GT-R begins 6th lap in 1st followed by the C60 in 2nd with a 5.579 seconds gap.

11:31
Surprise! The C60 enters the pits to refuel!

12:34
The GT-R loses tire traction as it slips into the sand at the first of two chicanes on the Mulsanne Straight.

13:07
Rain stops. The 24-minute clock is now at the final 3-minute mark. A 34.681 seconds gap separates the GT-R in 1st and the R390 GT1 in 2nd.

15:00
Risky call; the GT-R enters the pits. Tops up 20% fuel and RS tires.

16:07
FINAL LAP! GT-R in 1st place but the C60 catches up fast!

16:55
After the first chicane on the Mulsanne straight the gap was closed in at 6.996 seconds between the GT-R and C60.

17:43
End of the Mulsanne Straight. The gap is now 6.954 seconds.

18:22
The cars passed the Arnage. Gap is now 5.119.

19654049925_9059d3928c_h.jpg

18:50
The GT-R makes it through the Porsche Curves and still in 1st place.

19033130033_d86ca898d3_h.jpg

19:04
The GT-R enters the Ford Chicanes for the last time!

19:16
FINISH!!!! The GT-R LM NISMO ’15 crosses the finish line in 1st place!!!!!! Time – 27:09.188.

"It was kinda of a surprise, really. I mean with that kind of power our car has we might as well be competing in the GT3 Class instead! But perseverance held on and mustering all the belief we had into this car we managed to win this grueling race once and for all! My thanks to the pit crew and to all who have helped in one way or another, thanks a lot!"
J. Wan/Nissan GT-R LM NISMO '15
"I should've won! My car has more power than that junk! Just disqualify them when they cross the finish line next time!"
K. Oneill/Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd '05

Thanks to all who contribute tips for this victory to happen. Let's all hope that the next race update will be at least a 2-hours long Le Mans!
