My McLaren F1 handles like an absolute pig! I've re-built the chassis & tried tunes from various shops, to no avail. All I get is huge understeer & incessant (& extremely annoying) screeching of the tyres. (Racing soft) I'm at the point where I don't even want to drive the car anymore & that's sad, 'cos it's gorgeous. :guilty:

Any tips/ideas before I sell it?

Don't do this, try to accustom first, shure ,it need more skills than most of the others, but it's one of the best. Take the easiest tune for you and try to make a longer gearbox, use only 4 , it'll help to spread the power, don't use the full power version, at the beginning at least.... Don't know.. but don't give up with this car, this is a must !!

EDIT: don't know if you've tried my tune ,but it's not so radical....if not, give a try...

I used a tune I found on here and it was awesome. I forget who's it was sorry, but go to the main every car tune thread and just test everyones and see which one suits you best. The car is tricky no matter what so you still have to be careful.

Priano's tunes are great. his settings for the minolta race car saved my butt! seriously. I simply couldn't drive the blamed thing till I put on P's tune...

Cool, I'll give it a go... :)

I'm relieved you sought professional guidance 👍 Good luck, and let us know how it turns out!

When I was chucking it around with it briefly today (still stock), to my own limited ability, it seemed to really needed the weight to transfer forward to turn - I bumped the front brake balance up a tick or two, since that's all I had to play with. Also in stock form, it will basically steer on-throttle with the default LSD (and then some more if you're not careful :sly: - which is the oversteer I was referring to elsewhere), so it really needed some adjustments to my driving style.

I think it's an MR "My weight is all in my date" kind if thing (Mass is all in my...?). I could be off base, so I'm kind of curious to find what works out for you.

I'll try some more tonight & let you know... :)

OK. I tried a few tunes & found Praiano's to work well for me. Then, on a whim, I tried the tune by SS_1182 . WOW! What a win! I take back all I said about my F1! Thanks for all the help guys! :)
