When ever I load up my game just as of recently, the cursor didn't show up. After a while, I could get the cursor to show up after a couple minutes of waiting and when I try to go to any of the modes (career, settings, save, anything from that bar) it just does a loading screen with the gt5 logo. Please help, I'm afraid my save is corrupt :scared:

Your save isn't corrupt, the game will automatically tell you if that sort of thing happens and remember that the game also makes a back up save every time it autosaves so even if that's the problem, you shouldn't worry at all. I think it is a Network thing, have you tried running the game without signing into PSN?

Deleting the cache comes to my mind, if that doesn't work, deleting the updates and updating the game back again should work but that would take forever.

I don't know how to delete the cache/don't remember how to delete the updates. just started playin for the first time in like 8 months a couple days ago. I'll try to do it without being signed in

ok so I have been waiting on the loading screen for several minutes with just the gt logo and the Internet off on my ps3. how can I clear the cache?

Well, clearing the cache involves some menu navigation, does your game let you do anything at all? if it lets you navigate through the Options menu, you'll find that option in the Miscellaneous menu, the one with a little world and a wrench symbol on it.

To delete the updates, you just go to ''Game Data Utility'' (you'll find it right on top of ''saved data utility'' on the same ''games'' tab all of your games are) in your PS3 dash menu or XMB, find GT5 on the list and delete it, it's a single file.

Then run GT5 and the game will ask you to update back again but it may take all day to do that.

Ok, once you delete the updates, run GT5 and decline the updates, make sure everything works properly, this is to make sure that the disk is ok. Once you are done, rebooth GT5 and start updating.
