My car won't launch right. It is slow at start... and it won;t even reach over 180 mph when i put top speed as 230... Please help... Thanks. I have 391hp.

Yea, but I'm guessing what Cy meant is that although drag racing and the stuff that goes with it are out of his field, but he's surprised if you can reach 180mph with 391hp.

About the launch. RS tyres? If so, they're your problem. 400hp isn't enough to spin the tyres up at launch, so you bog*. Couple that to the very long gearing I think you're using, and the thing won't move at all. I'd do the tranny trick, or, in normal language, the following:
1. reset F/C gearbox to default.
2. Top Speed Adjuster to the left, all the way.
3. Final Gear to the left, all the way.
4. Trial and error bit comes here, test 1st gear. Does it still bog (assuming it can spin them up at all) or does it smack the rev limiter off the line? If bog, move 1st gear slider further right, and vice versa for smacking rev limiter.

Do the same for top speed, though bear in mind, you can only get a civic to go so fast without draft.

Never suggested you were, Sir. I was merely pointing out that I'm not well versed in setting up gearboxes for quick launches or outright max speed, i.e. I'm not a drag artist :sly:

And as our OnBoy has already said, I don't think you can hit 180mph with only 391hp (I'm happy to be proved wrong or told otherwise). I'm currently running an Evo with similar power and stripped of as much weight as possible, it tops out around 165mph, so...

Well, I have a Evo 5 (Yes, I have an Evo, shocking, eh?) at 515hp and it'll do 205mph, a little more with some draft. 500+hp to do an extra 20mph on top of your 180mph. All I'm saying is that you have barely 400hp and you're trying to take on 180mph when Cy's car at that level is only doing 165mph is biting off quite a bit more than the little Civic can chew.

With 400 bhp should be possible to hit 180 mph.
My DC5 hits 171 under the bridge on the Ring with 367 bhp at 1100 kg.

391bhp is enough to do 180+ in certain cars, the EK9 is not one of them. Its powerband is a bit peaky.

To the OP: The top speed setting doesn't actually mean your car will do 230mph. In a Civic you're better off setting it to 199 or 205, then you might nudge 180mph.

The slow start you can fix by following Onboy's suggestions, but bare in mind this is a 400bhp FF car, it won't ever be quick off the line.
