I have recentley been getting lots of BSODs and now my computer can barely function. I can't even use the internet on my computer as it locks up the entire system within a few minutes and I have to shut it completely down. I'm running the diagnostics tests and it came up saying that memory integrity test had failed. I then ran the memory diagnostics test and came up with the following errors pictured bellow. I think that the ram might be going bad based on what I found out online but I'm not exactly sure.

My computer specification is:
Dell Insipron 1545
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I hope that is enough information for someone to help. I can try and get more info on the computer if you guys need it. I wish I knew more about the problem but I'm not really that good when it comes to problems like these.

I had the same problem. What I did at first is do system restore to a previous date before it started. Then it was fine until I got it again. You can do this If you don't mind doing it. Second you can buy parts for computer and do process of elimination to see what was the bad part. I hope I helped.

Ok, I think I'll probably going to look at new RAM, as I think that might be the problem based on what I found on Google. I have to wait till my dad looks at it to see if he can figure any thing out. I have the Dell Complete Care warrenty and I'll look into that to see what they can do. I have tried a system restore that it had me do after I got two BSODs, one that shut the computer down and the next trying to get it back up. Thanks for the quick response. I will wait and see if anyone else has an idea as to what may be the problem. It is around 3 years old and I'll just get another laptop unless I can get this fixed. Thanks.

Would I have to upgrade the SSD or will that be fine? I was also going to get the RAM from Dell as its cheaper. My laptop only has 4GB of RAM to begin with and I don't really need any extra. What I'm trying to say is that it runs fine with the 4GB it came with. I don't use it for gaming or photoshop, really just for the internet and Microsoft Office.

Edit- This is what I was looking at to replace the RAM.

Wow, thats a great deal, and I don't have to replace anything other than the RAM, like putting a new hardrive in?

Pretty much. If you want to make sure, download memtest86+ and burn that to a CD/DVD. Run it on your laptop and it will tell you if there was any problems with the memory. 👍

Thank you so much guys. I will look into doing that test and I'll keep you guys updated on the status of my laptop. Thanks again.:)

Edit: I just spoke with Dell Technical Support and the extended warrenty we have on my laptop will cover the repairs. They are sending the parts to the technician, who will then come and fix it. After about an hour on the phone he dertermined that the problem was exactly what I thought it was. Thankfully I can still back all my documents up using Safe mode. I will continue to update this thread, though it won't be until next week until I actually get it fixed. Thanks again for the help.
