Clearly it isn't solely the NFS site that's causing you grief if everywhere else returns the same result. Restart your system. If you don't have a lot of RAM, turn off whatever useless startup programs come on automatically (Run > msconfig > Startup), and try opening one browser window at a time. Be patient, and don't get click-happy; Firefox will tell you if the operation has actually timed out, then you'll know it's not just freezing.
You may also have viruses or spyware out the wazoo, can't say for sure.
A more detailed description of the problem would help a little, but try the first suggestions either way. 👍
