Help with License Tests!!

hello I am trying to get the iA license in GT4 and I am at the test before the last one where I need to go around a whole lap of a track in a mercedes that has very bad handling and I was wondering if Any of you have any tips on how to keep the car under control and to keep in the time limit so I can pass the test!
