I was wondering if anyone had any experience with moving the shifter on a DFGT(or DFP as they seem the be built the same way). I would love to mod my DFGT but am afraid of opening it because its less than 2 months old and i don't want to void the warranty. What i am trying to do is remove the shifter from the wheel casing so i can mount it in a different spot. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This video shows exactly what I would like to do, move the shifter out of the casing and mount it separately.

If anyone knows how to do this mod, please let me know. I don't want to go opening things up without knowing whats inside.

Looks interesting, but i have no idea how they did that.

I hope someone makes some actual paddle shifters for the DFGT, seeing how there is 2 screws right beside the shifters i would assume it would be easy to fabricate some plastic or metal shifters that could screw in there and press the button down when shifting.

So after reading some of the comments on the video, it turns out that the guy took out the old shifter and threw it away. He then built a new sequential shifter and rewired it to the PCB.
