HELP with nascar 2002!

I bought NR2002 today, done by sierra and papyrus..now this pc meets all the requirements probably X5..but when i click install on the autorun it comes up with this error:

16 bit windows subsystem

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DO and microsoft windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application.

Anything i can do to stop this?

try running with different compatibilty modes. rightclick on the exe then try changing the compatibility to an OS that was out around the same time.
